True all tho if they gonna fix the armor and add the spall liner the merk 4m will be very strong so we wont need the m4m 400 (unless new gen will come like leo 2a8)
But having it would still be nice, as even if they give the Merky the buff of our dreams a lot is still classified, so it would still have like, 650 mm KE protection tops.
Which is very good
Also the hall should stop this value as well(with sacrifising the engine) at least the ufp
Combine it with good fp and reload
Aps(should be buffed as well) and lwr, good engine
And u got amazin tank possibly meta(as it should)
I mean, technically we have the IDF saying “no modern anti=tank weapon has the power to frontally penatrate it”, and the Germans publicaly admitting the Mk.4 is better armored than all their Leos, and the fact that Merkavas survived the most unbelievable situations, and the fact that it weighs ~70-75 HELLING TONS, but ya know, logic is not enough nowdays. Just think about chkens for kfc
Hmm i didnt know that
Can i have your source?
If I had a reliable source Gaijin would have it too by now, unless it was classified, in which case only the iDF decides wether I send it or not. It’s only some interviews I saw here ands there during the years.
Yea ik i want it for myself if u still have that
Unfortunately not, my PC is anyway full of trash and is barely functional, so I erased many files since then
Oh ok
Also nice name ;)
Thanks, but what do you mean by ‘nice name’? It seems pretty casual to me
Ahi
Look at my name
Haha my name isn’t Noam, it’s just a nickname. I never reveal my real name in the internet
Ohh ok lol
The only way to make Barak unique would be to be able to see the commanders CITV feed even while in third person as a picture-in-picture. After all one of the things Iron Vision does is slaving the movement of the CITV to the movement of the TC´s head.
I don´t notice any visible differences between the armor geometry compared to older models. One armor element I know for certain its changed in Barak is the use of different, bigger and much heavier side plates, named after the tank itself. Apart from that it may have gotten internal improvements on other armor modules but I don´t know of any evidence of it.
I think the bineculars should get a sight and thermals on the barak that will make it unique and ofc upgraded aps
Wait thats huge
Can u give us the source?
A crewman told me about it, he couldn´t provide sources himself but during training they get details on the types of sideplates that were used in Merkava over the years. The first generation sideplates weighted each 40kg while ´Barak´ sideplates weight 70kg. In between there was a different type of sideplates known as ´Batash´, which weight 60kg. Merkava 4s that were deployed to Gaza during the war had these replaced by “Gaza plates”, which weight 80kg. The latter can be confirmed by crewmen accounts and video evidence released by both sides to be able to withstand 105mm tandem CE warheads across 180º arc.
Supposedly the Barak sideplates are better than Gaza plates, which I doubt.
Very cool
