Why? Would you rather unique vehicles be locked behind a paywall? Reskins let gaijin earn money while saving unique stuff for TT or events

I gotta admit really cool looking skins and designs this time round (please also let me get rid of the Pizza table on the OES now).
On another note it’s a bit sad how some people here react to completely optional content,getting all wrapped up in derogatory remarks and attacking the same playerbase they are a part of over something so trivial…

This was me saying how you thinking that’s fine, but slight nationalised camos aren’t is a confusing stance to take.
Pillows are decorations not camos and I agree like i said on the main forum when talking about how there should be a setting for that as well as, fireworks and the bushes, which can affect gameplay.
but that’s such a small part of the premiums and also not really the point of the premium which is the premium copy and paste and camo change, plus the portrait.
which should be a like 10 buck pack for a tech tree vehicles camo i.e the sepv2 and t90bvm but that limits money so they wont be sadly.
And all the other points again fall under the you can optionally choose not to view it.
lastly custom premiums that are unique vehicles that people love should not be forced to be premiums and that is a simply dumb stance to take.
the only vehicles that really should be premiums are copy paste variants that might be slightly worse than their tech tree variants. not something unique, beloved or literally the best version in game. i.e f4s, xm-1 or a-6’s.
we have more realistic explosions, graphics, vehicle modeling and sound affects but you think we’ve lost immersion, ???.
sure the skins can ruin it but again those are togglable so that’s on you lol. again though I agree with decorations regardless of the fact we’ve seen real life body pillows and anime art on tanks since the Ukraine invasion however the issue is we’ve had body pillows for nearly a decade now this isn’t new and isn’t gonna ruin the games immersion any more than it already did back then

So what’s the issue? You want to see fictional skins but not all of them? Seems like a pointless complaint to me, an on or off choice seems just fine

It’s still an image of the game I don’t like.
I’m not going to jump into “what vehicles should be premium and not” discussion in this topic. I just say that repainting a tank with anime stuff should not make for an entirely “new” premium vehicle. It’s a low-risk bet; low effort premium vehicle aimed at a specific part of the community, profit is assured. And yes, it’s their money, I agree, but I just don’t like what they’re doing.
And I say again, I sincerely don’t have anything against the anime community in WT. I just feel it shouldn’t have a place this way in the game. There are other approaches, but this one is erasing the game’s identity from my perspective.

to be fair although I think all these people complaining are just complaing to complain, however there is an issue with decorations as those don’t have a toggle like camos.

i feel like the backlash would be a lot bigger if unique variants of the leopard 2 and abrams were locked behind a 70 euro anime skin packet instead of just copy pasting existing premiums so players who want the anime version can get their hands on them without sacrificing unique vehicle models

I am ok with low effort premiums, the effort should go toward the more accessible vehicles

Add unique premium → create hype → add it to TT as well in the next update or something.
In such a system paying for a premium will serve as an “early access” to unique stuff.
As far as I’m concerned, waifus in bikinis or lingerie don’t really fit in a game about war machine.

How about adding a decoration content filter, Gaijin? After all we have a separate decal filter, and its way too broad of a filter system that deals with camouflages, decals and decorations.
Thus if i want to see camouflages like the AMX-13 urban rebel or the AMX- 13-90 digital camo, just to mention a few, i cant turn off the fictional content. So its either digital camo and body pillows or no body pillow and no digital camo.
Or am i missing a setting?

Oh I don’t have trouble with the camos, as you’ve said you can turn them off.
I’m not talking about the effects, it’s more about the setting, the vehicles you’ve got and face, the tech trees, the music… Everything is just a hot mess right now. Everyone’s got everything, the battlerating system is abysmal, etc. Skins are the least of my worries when it comes to immersion.
I don’t like being killed with a guy with a flare, and 4 body pillows, but that’s my personal stance.
Honestly I don’t even think these skin packets should exist in the first place. Custom skins exist for a reason.
