But when you are saying: “Matches are made without Britian on the Red side. Plenty of games have taken place as such.”, it would be natural to quantify “plenty”. The general theme for the last iteration ,based on my own experience and from others posted in this thread, Britain was far more often than not paired with USSR.
Its understandable that the team composition is changed for matchmaking purposes, but some parts of the rosters should change aswell to accomodate the change in team composition. Such as the aircraft carriers for example.
I can also corroborate this. Despite pairing with only one other person, as US and UK, of some 100-150 runs done during the last window between the two of us (both together and separate), we only got 1 match running those two nations together… and that required us connecting to a US server (based on my ping) during off peak hours, into a match that was just starting.
I highly doubt that is the case, when even solo queueing separately had around only 10 organic matchups at best.
Do we need to have name tags considering the primary focus is ground, like grb? There’s already so many radars up it kinda makes them all pointless.
Maybe now would be a good time to add friendly datalink. It would be an excuse to add AI AWACS that would allow players to turn their own radar off and dramatically cut down in RWR torture. This incentivizes taking out radar sites early on and should reward plenty of sl/rp for doing so.
Yeah a system like this would be great and fix the weird issue of e.g. China and Taiwan fighting together while also helping out the match maker balance. A much better solution than just regressing to the system we have in GRB for example where its random nations. I really dislike that system.
I played the XS this round…
It was like repeatedly headbutting the wall . I couldn’t catch a good game.
Then jumped in the Norwegian F-5A and actually had fun.
The most effective way to get rid of radars is with fast deck hugging gun runs (ideally with SPI assist), but I think people haven’t figured out that meta just yet :)
I’ve heard a lot about people claiming AI respawns at SAM sites, and honestly there was this ONE time within over a hundred SAM site kill runs I’ve done when I noticed a M113 (that I was convinced I had killed) was up again, but I can tell you for a fact that RADARS never respawn, and neither do the launchers.
You kill the tracking radar and the SAM will remain inactive for the rest of the game.
The only reason I was shooting launchers here was to farm rewards/SP lol.
