To me it just seems like Gaijin thinks we forgot why WT got review bombed and is trying to milk again from newer players that doesn’t know what was in previous BP’s.
What’s the point of having a toldi tank here? Not a single person would take it over Ka-chi or T55e1. It exist only to make 25% of potential battlepass buyers extremely unhappy. I will not pay to get scammed by this thing. But Id easily buy this BP if there will be a CHOICE instead of a stupid “gacha crate”.
Gaijin, why you dont want my money?
What happened to the E.B.R. 1954 ?? It was part of one of the first Battle Passes and isn’t here even if it is one of the most desirable vehicles that was in one of the first ones and it isn’t even on the market wihich makes it even more desirable.
Well, it is an unobtainable Battlepass vehicle like the others, so it does have a place in the Box.
What worries me: If I don’t get the Ka-Chi this time, will it be in the next BP vehicle Box or do they switch it with another otherwise unobtainable vehicle? And will the Ka-Chi come back like this?
And they forgot an unobtainable Battlepass vehicle, the LVT-4/40
It will be changed, the same way warbond vehicles are changing every season.
In their place, I would personally just create another tab in the shop, called “Event Vehicles”:
And put there every single event vehicle (including old BP vehicles).
Add the new currency, which would be called properly (I’m not a native English speaker, so I’m not going to propose anything interesting here), let’s use the “Battle Pass Point”. So every BP season you will get 1 Battle Pass Point (BPP) at a relatively early level (e.g. level 14 as additional reward to the 10 days of the Premium Account). If they wanted to make more money from this system, they could also include the second BPP inside the Warbond Shop, that would cost GE. This way everyone will be able to get 2 BPP in total every season.
Then every vehicle in the Events Vehicles section in the shop could have its cost based on e.g. its rank. For example:
Rank 1-2: 1 BPP
Rank 3-4: 2 BPP
Rank 5-6: 3 BPP
Rank 7-8: 4 BPP
Players would be able to buy any vehicle, as long as they have enough BPP. This way everyone will be able to get what they want, and Gaijin could also gain more money from the BP (selling an additional BPP for GE).
This system would also mean that the 3rd vehicle would be back to the BP. In my opinion the system with 1 Air, 1 Ground and 1 Naval vehicle in BP season made the most sense.
But it looks like they are happy with the current state of the BP. It’s obviously selling well, and the effort they put to create it is less and less with each season. So they don’t really need to add any new systems. This would obviously cost them money, so why would they do that?
Especially the first BPs were very good and totally worth it in my opinion.
For example, the first BP that started in December 2020 had 4 premium vehicles: Matilda Hedgehog - rank 2 premium heavy tank ORP Garland - rank 2 premium destroyer F2G-1 - rank 4 premium fighter T-10A - rank 5 premium heavy tank
All these vehicles are fine. And you could get rank 4 and rank 5 premiums in times when we had less ranks. Rank 7 in Air tech tree was added to the game in May 2021. Rank 7 in Ground tech tree was added earlier, in 2019. But you still could get rank 5 premium tank and rank 4 premium plane, that would be good enough to grind everything but the top rank. Also, both of these vehicles are very good.
You can check the rewards season by season, and it’s clearly visible that the BP value decreases over time. Which is probably nothing surprising (the devs wanted the first BPs to be successful and attract players to this new BP system). But when you compare the first few seasons to the current season, the difference is truly crazy.
