God damn man, it was doable in Ta-152H or Re.2005 but I would go crazy if I had to do this in P-47-D28 and side climb every battle, cause climbing straight at the enemy in a plane that is neither very fast nor very maneuvrable nor airspawninf a horde of Spitfires, Yak-3Us, F4U4Bs, F8Fs and F2Gs is basically a suicide unless you’re some kind of head-on god.

Imho there is just one head-on god/monster active in this forum - it is definitive not me… Not sure if you remember that i play with HOTAS only - and i can therefore never play headons due to lack of accuracy (“wobbling”). I would guess that i scored less than 20 kills in forced head-ons in total on this account.

Indeed i had to sideclimb (excessively) every battle outside the line of sight. In about 40% of my matches my whole team was dead before i was even at 5 km - so i turned back to my airfield, landed and J out.

But the other 60% of my matches were quite interesting and entertaining fights - if your climbed (without WEP in order to save the power increase for fights) high enough the P-47 D-30 is quite good (MEC mandatory) - and most guys did not climb above 6 km or tried to farm Ju 288s. As soon as i was out of WEP i was dead, the performance gap is then way to big.

Energy trapping US prem Spits and F8Fs worked fine above 7 km - and the F4U-4B/F2G guys never understood why their trick with high speed dogfights in order trying to force me to overshoot (Adam: “classic roll from side to side”) did not worked against a plane with an air brake. All i had to do was to drop on them and park at their six & spray them down.

Yak-3Us or USSR/JP planes in general were totally absent, always GER/IT vs US/UK.

The main challenge was that you could not afford to make a single mistake - whilst stuff like the F2Gs had so much more raw engine power that they could afford multiple basic mistakes in a row - and got away with it.

Fun fact: Whilst flying the almost identical US P-47 D-28 i did not saw a single Ju 288 in my first 25 matches. I assume that the MM decided this based on the rank - the IT D-30 was at Rank IV those days whilst the US version was at Rank III.

Getting a completely random tank is unacceptable. I initially thought I wanted two of the 4 so it should be ok. I got the only one I didn’t want. What a waste. I am completely disheartened. My money my choice and I didn’t choose that. Never again.

Even tho literally the only thing I wanna from this game rn is Ka-Chi and theres only 25% chance to get it here. (yeah, one should choose if they spend ge for battlepass as this is just bs, but I gonna try anyway cuz I am kamikaze and gaijin wont listen to comunity to make it choise ofc)
Got just enough to buy it. Already spent all my SL for suitcases in summer now gonna spend all my GE to get it.
