I guess it might be F-15E (2015) with AN/APG-82 AESA radar and Pratt & Whitney F100-PW-229 engines. integrated AIM-9X Sidewinder, AIM-120C-7 & AIM-120D AMRAAM GBU-39 SDB and AGM-158 JASSM
And equipped AN/AAQ-33 Sniper XR & LANTIRN AN/AAQ-13 Navigation pod
F-15Es and F-15EXs should be able to fly without CFTs, which would alleviate the increased weight for usage in air realistic. Would be pretty cool too see the performance with the PW-229 engines and without CFTs.
Careful… Last time I mentioned this some people threw a huge hissyfit about having to model it both ways, not being armed, only for depot, blah blah blah…
Then the F-15C came with the option for CFTs so where the whiners at now???
I’ve also got some good pictures should the capability need to be bug reported
The F-15E replaced the F-111s in service. And if they don’t change their stance on strategic bombers, there is nothing else that can go in that line other than the Strike Eagles.
The F-15EX would still likely follow the F-15C line.
This is more than good enough for the War Thunder standard. For reference see the Mig 29 carrying R27ERs (which it wasn’t able to), See the Yak 141, See the 2S38 (Was added while still a prototype vehicle which has not entered service), and more.
This is an F15C by the way, so this should go on the F15C, D, E, EX etc if ever added to the game.
We are playing by the standards War Thunder set, so purchase or active duty isn’t the standard. Again see Yak-141.
+1, should go under the in game F-15C as it doesn’t lose any of the equipment of the F-15C and could be used as air superiority, it just has the added benifit of ground strike.
if anyone wants me to elaborate on my reasonings just ask :)
i don’t really know but it should be around the same mass as the F-15J improved. it’s a bit like SK buying F-15K (lisenced F-15Es) and using them as a fighter in a pinch, so it’s defo possible to see em in the fighter line
