MBDA Brimstone: Death from Above

Think about this from a ground perspective. People just lob gps guided weapons and never enter SPAA range

There are other gamemodes than just ground…

But even in ground, the number of SPAA that just sit still and never move. IOG+GBU-24 = a lot of easy kills

No, any coordinate you choose. Think of it like artillery from tank. You choose a spot.

So far we don’t have weapons limited per gamemode

GPS weapon would be no more effective than a laser guided one, in fact it would be worse because the target can just move.

But in air modes, like ASB. You have a lot of static ground targets. GPS guided weapons would mean you could F&F bombs onto them.

It would really depend. Most tanks don’t know that they’re being targeted by a 2000lb gps guided weapon.
Most spaa that spawned would also not know especially if they didn’t see the drop.

Gps guided bombs would be cool in air sb but i doubt gaijin will restrict weapons based on game mode. They didn’t do it for as34 and that one is completely useless in ground rb

Uh… of course the anti-ship missile is completely useless in GRB. There arent any ships in GRB. Doesnt mean we shouldnt get more ASMs in the future.

Again. Ground is not the only gamemode

My point was being that even when a weapon is completely useless in a game mode it won’t be restricted, which would probably be the most logical reason to restrict it - there are no targets for the weapon to fire against, why allow it.

If this much smaller warhead can do this, cruise missiles would be much more capable when firing at a coordinate. Especially cap points, and some maps with choke points.

You’re very rarely in late game gonna see a multiple vehicle lineup on any point. Most often there is no one. It’s easy to get multiple vehicle kills with something like 29T because you can target multiple vehicles off cap points.

It will come eventually ;)

it is either a radar visual with a air-ground radar or a visual designation (laser, TV, maybe GPS)but it is important to remember that the brimstone can choose his target so you could maybe just fire it randomly in the enemy direction and it would choose a target by himself

I got a question. In the picture below, the brimstone missile appear as one of the Rafale weapon but to my knowledge it never test them or even carry them. Does anyone got info about it or this image is just wrong ?

Its an option, it just hasn’t been integrated. France prefers to use the HAMMER and its been offered as an export option but never selected.

If a country decides they want it, it is an option.
