Different angle of the tank. Note on previous photo the penetration is on the right hand side near the bottom of the 3rd RELIKT block from the left. The penetration is in the exact same spot in this photo.

T-80BVM is just 220mm thick composite at 68 degrees - 587mm LOS
My calculation shows that the base hull is equivalent to 188.4mm at 68 degrees - 503mm LOS
587 / 503 = 0.86x KE effectiveness
When APFSDS penetrates 188.4mm at 68 degrees - 503mm LOS, it defeats 404mm KE at 0 degrees.
3BM42 penetrates: 395mm at 2000m at 0 degrees, 450mm at 0m at 0 degrees
Obviously then theres the RELIKT on top of that.

Why are you counting 0 degrees? Not 30/40 for example?
Because the upper plate of T-64 / T-72 / T-80 / T-90 is sloped at 68 degrees
Imagine the T-34-85 has 260BHN steel upper plate [doesnt in real life i know]
It has 45mm thick steel plate sloped at 60 degrees.
When APFSDS penetrates 45mm at 60 degrees - 90mm LOS, it has 77mm KE pen at 0 degrees
So 0 degrees is considered a straight line, just like 90 degrees. The calculation of penetration is just calculated from the location of, for example, the upper frontal part of 68 degrees, respectively, it cannot have the same values as at 0.
