Making Russian Tank Protection more realistic

Even the photos from UA show a smashed t80bvm, in the front plate, most likely from apfsds, maybe from a leopard or some UA t64, we don’t know, but in the photos you can see that the tank is only the hull, the puncture was so powerful, and in wt indestructible eh, the russian armor of the ner is very weak and backward compared to the west and in wt it is equal to or exceeds the west, which is funny, and I wonder where they get the data from, probably from Wikipedia because somehow I find it hard to believe that modern tanks in wt are in any way well reproduced it’s more some whims of the creators, but everyone knows who creates this game and what climate prevails there, so no wonder that this is how the USSR tree looks like, even what is happening at UA, they show that Russian tanks are garbage, nothing in tuesday will change.

For some reason, everything is just the opposite. Also, send this photo, it would be very interesting to see it

No one has forgotten, we just know it will never change.

RussianBias never changes.

[/quote] you have on reddit, in the topic of war thunder, I will not send photos here because I got banned once on the forum for 3 days

Then send a link to reddit with this post, you can in private messages if you are afraid of something

The Round which Ukraine uses which could do that is no other than the 125mm 3BM-42 APFSDS.
What appears to have happened is that the round hit exactly the area where the RELIKT simply failed to activate.

In the Post OP, I have calculated that the T-80BVM base hull armour is rated 503mm KE LOS along 68 degrees without ERA.

3BM42
450mm @ 0m (0) - 1700m/s
262.5mm @ 0m (60)
210mm @ 0m (68) - 560mm LOS

395mm @ 2000m (0) - 1527m/s
230mm @ 2000m (60)
184mm @ 2000m (68) - 491mm LOS

3BM-42 defeats 491-560mm LOS along 68 degrees within 0-2000m range

Which means T-80BVM which has 503mm LOS along 68 degrees base hull protection was penetrated because the RELIKT failed to do its job. Although, some of the RELIKT elements did act as slight additional armour in front of the main hull.

HOWEVER in War Thunder the T-80U, T-80BVM base hull armour overperforms so much, 3BM42 is nowhere near capable of penetrating the base hull armour even at point blank range

you should have a private link

Well, a very dubious photograph that does not identify itself in any way, despite the fact that the identification mark looks very good than the tank itself.

As for penetration, everything is the same, there could be several hits of shells

Yes, I recieved

Are you trying to suggest the “identification mark” was painted on after the fact, and that it isn’t really a destroyed Russian tank? That’s wild bro.

Wildly, this is when such garbage is posted every day and people believe for some reason blindly in it, without trying to penetrate

Different angle of the tank. Note on previous photo the penetration is on the right hand side near the bottom of the 3rd RELIKT block from the left. The penetration is in the exact same spot in this photo.

Same photo as above, I understand? Or another tank?

same tank, different angle

Then why is the identification mark different?

again, your reflection plate doesnt seem to exist.

Maybe, won’t deny

Theres no air gap
just 50+35+50+35+50

Refer to the image of destroyed T-80BVM

T-80BVM is just 220mm thick composite at 68 degrees - 587mm LOS
My calculation shows that the base hull is equivalent to 188.4mm at 68 degrees - 503mm LOS
587 / 503 = 0.86x KE effectiveness

When APFSDS penetrates 188.4mm at 68 degrees - 503mm LOS, it defeats 404mm KE at 0 degrees.

3BM42 penetrates: 395mm at 2000m at 0 degrees, 450mm at 0m at 0 degrees

Obviously then theres the RELIKT on top of that.
