Still waiting on the AN/MPQ-64 fixes to be applied, they did add target identification, but only the bog standard “Is it a single or twin engine jet” mode that, for some reason, only NATO gets. This is a modern radar used for CIWS work in some cases, it has to be able to identify even mortar rounds by size and type, there is no reason why it should be unable to properly identify known aircraft by their type.
Then again the AN/APG-86(V)7 is still fully missing the feature so I guess I should be happy this thing was given the ability to at least know what a plane is.
Oh yeah, and the premium US F/A-18C is still a direct downgrade to the Swiss premium one at the same exact BR. Its very disappointing that people don’t see this as a massive issue as gaijin is currently flat out selling a copy paste premium that is just better than another premium shortly after the previous one ran it’s initial sales course. This should not be happening.
GAIJINNNNNNN
LET ME ATTACK GROUND TANKS WITH ASM 1 AND ASM 2…
and my life…is yoursss
If im not mistaken. Only ASM-2 has IR terminal guidance that might be of use vs ground targets
The dependence of the maximum speed on the initial (starting) speed is very low. If launched vertically upwards from a ground start, there can’t be a twofold difference.
Still no fixes for the Roma. Still missing so much stuff
That’s because SLM’s motor burns for 15 seconds total, AIM-120C’s burns for 7. SLM’s motor is also more powerful. SLM accelerates faster and stays at its top speed for longer, so it has more range than AIM-120C.
I’m not saying AIM-120C is bad, I’m saying SLM was actually designed for ground launch and AIM-120C was not.
Like I said to the other guy, the AIM-120C’s motor burns for 7 seconds, whereas SLM’s motor burns for 15 seconds. SLM’s motor is also more powerful. SLM was purpose-designed for stationary vertical launch, AIM-120C was not.

yes, SLAMRAAM-ER would be the more appropriate comparison
Yes, but unfortunately we are getting baseline AIM-120C-5s to start with. Still a good missile tho.

So with the introduction of the F-2 fighter and its anti-ship missiles, is there any particular reason why the US hasn’t received the AGM-84s? Just out of curiosity. If there are other nations with anti-ship missiles that have not yet been included (I personally dont know what other nations have), is there a dev reason why we haven’t seen them?
From an Air SB perspective, they would be nice to have for Denmark.
Ru is missing it’s anti ship missiles too
Kh-35 (under Su-30SM, Su-34 ans Ka-52 if they add the Ka-52K)
Kh-31A (under Su-30SM, Su-39, Su-34, and iirc 29SMT)
i’m probably forgeting one
Arent all of the AGMs that Soviet currently has basically AShMs?
no, these are their main AShMs

note the Kh-31 has an anti radiation variant for SEAD and multiple improved variants of the anti ship and sead variant

Sure. Like I said, if other nations are missing them, just curious as to what’s preventing their implementation?
probably speed and range as the Kh-31 are 100km+ range missiles with mach 2+ speed
Probably the fact that, in-game, they’re completely useless in 99% of ground and air battles
