…which afaik still is wrong and never was a reality.
Sadly, I have still zero useable reference, only hearsay, so don’t even bother with a bug report.
The only reference I found so far for the radar it got in WT was a line in a thread that could just as well imply later USN modification of ex-Swiss Tigers…
While KH38s are already breaking into top tier, we needed a new AA system to counter these AGMs. However, Gaijin nerfed these AA systems and they’re now underperforming. At the same time, the mighty OP KH38, which supposedly never needed a buff, just got one: they are now GPS guided. Good luck trying to dodge a swarm of KH38s with the new AA system while managing three vehicles at once!
Some will still say Russian bias doesn’t exist after that… lol.
Most of the US top tier aircraft are 2006(ish) versions at least and still limited to AIM-9M. The Gripens especially seem to be a frankenstein. Having 2016(ish) GBU-39, 1999 RB99s and Rb74(M)s that I’m not sure are even real.
There are more examples, I just can’t be bothered to list 30 top tier aircraft.
I think 11.3 would be fine. The F-5E FCU is 11.3 with more missiles (2 of which have better flight characteristics). The F-5T has HMD and has missiles that trade irccm for better flight characteristics. The Jaguar IS is 11.3 with 2 Magic IIs.
If the F-5A(G) is 11.0 with 9Ls so I don’t see why the Mirage IIIS would be too good at 11.0 if it only gets 9P-4.
I play top tier russia every now and then and the funny thing is that you already have to queue 5 minutes and some matches are russia vs russia (due to lack of players in other nations) and everyone cries because their Su30 get spawnkilled by a pantsir, something they are not used to yet. But it shows how off the balancing is, and it is really weird how they don’t want to improve balancing but rather tip it over even worse.
Guess we disagree there. The selling point of premiums should be their higher SL and RP gain and reduced repair costs, the vehicles themselves should only be reskins.
Only the P-16 and the new C-3604 are domestic, the Hunter, Mirage, F-5E and F-18 aren’t developed by Switzerland, so they aren’t domestic.
Some of the F-5s were assembled in Switzerland, but that’s about it. They use of the AN/APG-69 isn’t unique to Switzerlands F-5Es, AS the US also used such upgraded F-5Es in their Aggressor Squadrons.
The Hunters were modified and built for Switzerland and they did a few mods themselves, but that doesn’t make them domestic.
The closest to being domestic are their Mirages, as they were license productions and the Variant itself was developed by Switzerland, so still Not fully domestic.
The F-18 is just an initially slightly limited variant of the Hornet that was upgraded for Switzerland by the US.
We know how Gaijin does those things. So why complain every time they do it?
It’s their decision. Some agree with it, others object. In other things, other decisions, the players preferences may also be split. Well, that’s probably the case in almost all aspects of the game.
They can’t please everybody. Never will, as WT has become such a massive thing with so many different aspects, details, and of course design decisions.
This bit is somewhat true. The best course of action is just to not play vehicles you aren’t looking forward too.
Which is why I haven’t played vehicles in the Finish sub tree(s), only played a select few in the Hungarian/benelux sub trees and why I’m not planning on touching the Swiss sub tree in the years to come.
I just wish there was other stuff in the update to be excited about.
Its absolutely your choice, if you want to play a vehicle or not. Like you can read about what I wrote about 8 years back, I only would like to have a lineup of what I like to fly, irrelevant of the tree. Grinding a tree for the sake of getting the aircraft you want, i just nuisance. That’s why the DCS or MSFS style is better. You want a bird pay and go.
Less is more. For me to have the right bird in high detail, like IRL is better than having huge amount of planes. Level-D sim system depth is my goal with the addition of a compelling playground.
In other words - if GJ would make everything a premium bird, for me perfectly fine, if I then get the level of details that I payed for. And hopefully with all button and switches clickable, all gauges 100% operational and startup time and IRS alignment simulated.
The biggest issue I have with Sub-TTs is they are meant to fix “holes” in trees and yet the ONLY TT hole i’ve seen bodged was the Gripen C for Britian and only until ARH was added at which point. We had no more hole.
Take the Badger for example. The Fox, Scimitar and even Warrior Milan are probably stronger IFVs to use, even with the uptier and the what we really really needed was either a top tier IFV like the Ajax or a top tier SAM like the Skysabre.
If they were smarter with what was added, a lot less people would be annoyed
