There definitely are options to have the carrier spawns be balanced, but they would rather just get rid of the ability to spawn on carriers, turning carriers into glorified bombing targets.
Like 99% of the playerbase is never going to land on these new carriers to repair/re-arm. People can’t be bothered to land properly on the regular airfields (if they even RTB at all), they won’t be willing to take their time to try and land on a carrier.
Ok yeah the recon variant apparently has the same ordnance options and weapons as the standard one, which is a bit unusual.
At least according to a danish old magazine (FORSVARETS FLY EFTER 1945) I can kinda comprehend as a swede.
But honestly I’m not upset about it being a squadron plane because I dislike squadron planes but simply because I want the Austrian Draken as a squadron plane. Otherwise they might make it an event reward or premium.
Also, people can barely land on an AF without crashing. Going to be funny to watch them try to land on a carrier, especially in aircraft without a tail hook
I don’t think you’ll be seeing many people trying lol
Thinking about it, there will probably be more people trying to land non-naval planes on the carriers, coz you know, “if it has a hook, it has to be able to land on a carrier, right?”
I was about to question you about it being old, since I bought a brand new copy of it at a museum last year, but then I looked inside the magazine, with it having a copy right from 1995…
I can imagine F-16s being easy to land on carriers, but realistically you wouldn’t be able to take off again in most non-naval planes
I’ve done carrier landings in the Jaguars and T-2 as well, but you know there are bound to be people out there trying to land Starfighters, Eagles and Tornados on the carriers.
Gonna be especially funny if Gaijin remembers to disable re-arming and repairing on carriers for non-naval planes.
