Neither plane needs to go down. Yes, they are struggling heavily, but this is no excuse for polluting the 12.0-12.3 BR bracket with ARH missiles. I’m not saying that the F-4F ICE and Tornado F.3 CSP will suddenly become OP or broken, but the missiles they carry to a degree will be - it’s bad enough that the F-14A IRIAF and the AV-8B plus are there.
These planes suffer because their flight characteristics are very poor. However if you moved them to 13.0, even at a full downtier to 12.0, these planes are still going to have some of the worst flight performance in the lobby, lowering the BR doesn’t necessarily solve the issue that the F-4F and the Tornado had - all it does is make their missiles even more of a problem.
The solution is to move the top tier bullies up in BR to give these guys breathing room, not to move stuff down. Decompression is always, always, going to be the more appealing solution when it comes to balancing planes that are carried by their missiles.
tbh, not really. Stormer HVM with the right buffs/bug fixes combined with the Stormer AD for the times when Stormer HVM cant deal with a problem (like recon drones) is plenty. Handles most situations just fine. (though the recent compression does have me a tad concerned in a full uptier to take on 11.7 aircraft instead of 11.3, but Id rather be in the Stormer for that anyway)
Considering the other available options for that BR as well like the Warrior VERDI 2 or Tracked Rapier, I just hope this doesnt take away/replace one of those and was just a C&P “Because we could” and not intended as a “proper” addition, hopefully can be foldered like the ZA-35 is sooner rather than later, perhaps under the Tracked Rapier.
Also please no to Indian vehicles. We dont need any at all. Hard enough getting British light tanks instead of South African ones, fighting off C&P Soviet stuff from India is gunna be even harder.
If only they would do that with more interesting vehicles as well.
Give us those CL-13s that Britain (and South Africa) operated. Or how about some of those juicy french planes that South Africa and India operated? Maybe even an Indian AMX-13-75, because after getting the Scimitar we need more non-british light tanks again.
Yeah, I get the lack of Sabre back when they were new to avoid the mass C&P which does suck, but these days? Just seems silly to not have gotten at a bare minimum the RAF Sabres. (but the RAAF ones look quite cool)
And yeah, The only hole in our air tree that I will agree exists and cannot be filled without a paper aircraft. Is the 10.0-10.7 super sonic fighter. Mirage III or maybe a cheatah would fill that gap quite nicely. Though that gap has been mitigated in ground at least, as our main line-up is at 10.7 now and the FGR2/FG1 can be called upon for CAP now, so we arent solely reliant on the Sea Harrier FRS1e for CAP for that bracket (though FRS1 is still in my line-up)
As for SA and India in General, yeah… They have quite a few cool export variants they could give us. I still really want the Buc S50 from South Afirca just for the RATOs
Kinda funny in away or sad depending on your view but that’s isn’t the only ship still bugged from that update, as seen by USS Dealey DE-1006 (I mentioned that as the Ocean Escort previously).
How are two ships from Alpha Strike still bugged yet newer additions get near instant fixes in aviation & ground based machines???
Link to that bug report as well, for the GFCS that’s still not operational in game.
