Major Update “Firebirds” — DEV Server Changelog (25.10.2024) - Dev Server is closed

Nope, the amx40 on the dev server now has the 20mm locked with the main gun, it no longer elevates on its own like it did prior, it used to elevate and depress separately from the main gun, elevating faster oc than the 120mm main gun, what would happen tho is it was stopped by it’s armour block from depressing faster than the main gun which made sense and was also correct, now they are both locked 1:1 which is wrong.

I mean when you use keybinds to switch to controlling only one of them.

Shouldn’t need too switch to the 20mm separately it’s the main coax machinegun by default, same way the t72 moderna doesn’t need to switch to it’s 30mm to get full elevation, it worked as it should prior without needing to switch. I understand what you’re saying in testing but regardless it’s wrong and needs reverting as the original bug report was ill informed about how it should operate.

I hope the F-117 radar and IR signature is WIP and not the finished product, because it’s kind of disappointing for a plane that uses these features as a crutch and it’s only selling point.

It’ll probably change it’s early in the dev server.

Also a bunch of bugs on the new Scimitar, you missed that. (I made a post about it here)

It does, +3° is the maximum depression allowed over the limitation zone.

I’ll have to dig a bit and see if it’s mentioned how wide the limitation zone is however.

What new British vehicle is added without a thousand bugs :D

Yeah, just surprised nobody else seems to have noticed the issues really. Guess Brits too focused on tears for the tonka.

Yeah, Tonka issues are just eclipsing scimitar issues at the moment, and for me at least ,aircraft and naval are more important than ground, I gave up with ground after the CR2 dev post.

YouTube videos can be considered as credible source?

They were just giving an example of it happening IRL, and they never said it was a credible source.

I was just wondering because seems like most have sources or reports linked and for a change that affects quite a few tanks I would expect some explanation

I feel like that and the RWR nerf should be explained. What reports are we look at here where either of these are justifiable beyond what feels like an anti-NATO sentiment?

But yet the Video on the challenger 2 turret rotation a few years ago was denied…

Now can it get its correct top speed? its on an unmodified Centurion Mk.3 chassis, so should have a top speed of 21.5mph like all the other Mk.3s, unlike it does currently with a top speed of 17.4mph

Same should go with the Conway, also on a Mk.3, so it should go from 23.2mph to 21.5mph too,

there is no reason for these to be different speeds, all on the same hull, same engine, same transmission

We are probably lucky that the engine even got named, most ground vehicles ingame still don’t have engine names, the only ones i could find after a quick look was really on the modern MBT. Not even all ground vehicles added on the test server have engine names such as the Luchs 2A doesn’t have an engine name.

Even vehicles with very known engines like the Tiger, Tiger II, Panther, Cromwell, Crusader, Churchill, Shermans, T-34 & KV tanks still don’t have engine names.

Yeah, it is modeled as it would have the original sight, however it somehow have thermals…

This is how it is modeled ingame and its thermal vision. (I think it is gen 1, not sure, don't have too much experince on that front?)

.

This book i have about Scorpion & Scimitar have some images that show the different sighting systems on the outside of the vehicle.

As per the book, it should be only be outfitted with an image intensification sight (Night Vision), however it have an infra-red sight instead…

What are the plans with the JAS 39C?

I would recomend making the 39C in game have MS18 package (MaterialSystem 18) which includes the PS-05/A MK3 radar among some other things that as of right now are not applicable in games such as aerial refueling, EW, and highly advanced datalinks.

The PS-05/A MK3 came with the Batch 3 Gripens (Batch 1 & 2 are Gripen A with 2 being the first “fully operational standard” and Batch 3 is the first Gripen C). The MK3 in it’s first variant should be 130km - 160km.

(I suppose that the MS and batch numbers overlap a bit as I am not entirely sure how those compare, might be difference in how SAAB and Flygvapnet talks about the upgrades idk)

They already do, they’re called the SPO-2/10/15/15L/15LM, APP-27/73, Mirage Detecteur, Type 930
