So the best we can do right now is relying in US and Russian sources (namely, manufacturers of M829A3 and Relikt; ATK and Nii Stali) and strangely both corroborate each other regarding the Relikt being effective enough against M829A3.
Also there aren´t many simulations out there but also goes in line with whats expected:

@Alan_Tovarishch the issue I’ve seen with the simulations is they hit at optimal angles. In this case the magic 68 degrees installation angle.
At real engagement ranges height differences and ballistic drop from distance can reduce that angle. Even as much as 3 degrees can significantly impact ERA plate performance.

Not really, the old bug report on ROMOR is pretty clear in the effective protection increase it provides. It’s at least 500mm RHAe (or higher) against CE when mounted properly. K-1 is only 400mm RHAe. The sources and numbers provided are easily searchable on the net.
It’s described by the manufacturer as explosive reactive armor, and made by a famous corporation dealing in explosives for centuries. It explodes.
With most US armor, the specifics are likely highly classified. You can see what’s left after it detonates on some photos from a current conflict that shall not be named, but info on the ERA before it activates is scarce for anyone not in the MIC.

You just refuse to believe in any source other than western ones sponsored by the state. Russian and Chinese sources often evaluate their and western vehicles much more fairly
Although I agree its dumb to only consider western stuff truthful, I will note its at least proven slightly consistent with telling the truth between all companies/ manufacturers, while some eastern companies ruin the trust in all of them which is kinda of unlucky cause I bet you a decent majority are telling somewhat vague factual truth similar to the west.
lastly you not trusting western stuff and then saying others can’t except eastern stuff is fucking dumb, practice what you preach first then call others out. I believe any source that is credible. It’s just that if it comes out of a corrupt system like Russia that hurts it’s credibility.
And I have seen plenty of Chinese sources duting my internship for my Bsc, if theit military industry is similar in standards I’ll keep a grain of salt ready just in case.

I’ve literally sent out a source for the actual protection of relikt ERA a while ago. And the manufacturer of relikt claims it can defend against anti ERA rounds
The fact its a russian source hurts its credibility, now it may be true but several times they have bluffed and been proven to be false reports coming from russia. What makes you less credible than most on this forum is the fact you jump to “thats politics” or “that’s propaganda” which is just a fallacy all on its own instead of discussing facts. Maybe against 1st gen anti era like DM53 and M829A3. But how can they possibly know against M829A4 and DM83. They don’t know the exact design of the round or have first hand examples. It’s more likely that these rounds can in fact penetrate given that Relikt has been exported/captured, and once again the difference between Relikt and K5 is a different explosive and a thicker flyer plate? Not exactly hard to make an educated guess as to what’s needed to penetrate that.

K5/Relikt CAN defeat M829A3*
*at certain angles and below certain speeds
As seen in some of the simulations where the round hits at a perfect flat across the horizon angle on a tank that is sitting perfectly flat. Outside of that perfect lab simulation things get less reliable.
I can also believe that Relikt can stop M829A3 I was more referring to the newest generation rounds.
Really don’t think K5 stands a chance against M829A3 unless at extreme angles. It was after all developed to defeat K5 after we realized M829A1 was not good enough to penetrate it.
