"M4A3E8 Sherman 'Thunderbolt VII' – Tank of a Legend"

lol, I literally have the same suggestion pending. Guess it wont be needed anymore.

Also here, let me add the excerpts on uparmored Easy Eights from Zalogas book, since I went through too many hoops to get them and not publish them lmao

The uparmored plates are most likely those salvaged from other Shermans as seen in the excerpts, likely the front is just entire plate taken from other sherman while the rest are side plates.

In my suggestion I described three possible armor schemes, using only side plates, using only frontal plates and mixed. either way the armor scheme wouldnt be as good as jumbo when it comes to actual coverage, so I could see it as low as 5.7 being a sidegrade to standard easy eight.

Also Thunderbolt had .50cal coax, in addition to .30cal and .50cal on the turret.

This is a Halloween event vehicle waiting to happen damn

The HCR-2 “composite armor” is something I’d love to see in the game. Are you planning on making a suggestion about it?

Nah, i was interested only in the Thunderbolt VII but oh well, OP was faster.

Could have a regular modified Sherman as a TT. There were plenty of examples with this appliqué. This would be like the Cobra version.

For the UFP, this should be corrected to 63.5 mm + 63.5 mm, since it’s essentially two Sherman glacis plates stacked 1:1.

I also suspect that the side slabs of the hull may actually be 63.5 mm, as they were likely salvaged from the thickest part of Sherman armor, likely from glacis plates. See the example below for reference:

Yes, please! An absolute +1 from me! I’ve seen this said for quite a while. We always receive some sort of Soviet Event vehicle for the end of World War II event. It would be nice to have more representation from the other Allied Nations. Eagle VII, the T26E3, would also be a neat option

+1 maybe squadron?

+1 akin to either the event IS-2 or the T-34-85 partisan event vehicle

+1 for this as a premium, and the cannibalized armor as a modification for the tech tree Easy Eight!

+1 and FURY

If it was added, it should be at BR 6.0 because yes, it has jumbo level frontal armor and a 76 millimeter gun but it’s turret armor is still significantly weaker than the jumbos but a little bit stronger than the regular M4A3 I think it would be a perfect middle ground for us because some of us think the jumbo 76 should be put at 6.0 this would fix that. It’s like a a side grade to the regular jumbo because yes, you get better frontal armor, and a better gun, but weaker turret armor but now I think it should be a premium thing just because it’s kind of stupid for it to be an event vehicle just because like a lot of the time if it’s an event vehicle, it barely comes back and people who want it can never get it if they’re on like Xbox or something now am I saying you could do both it could’ve been a vet vehicle or also if you just wanna buy it for a premium price yeah

Agree with what you said, do not understand that many people say that the previous activity vehicles did not get, while hoping to make special vehicles into activity vehicles, so that new players in the future can not get. This is a very selfish act.

Would this in theory better than a jumbo? (other than the turret)

Totally yes, +1 !!!

No, because it roughly has the same armor as the jumbo in the front, the only difference is it has a weaker turret, but a stronger gun on the turret so what would most likely happen is if they did put it at 6.0 you be facing a lot of tigers and they would be thinking you’re a jumbo 76 or you’re a jumbo when they first face it so they’ll try to shoot your weak spot and they won’t think your gun is as good as it should be. That’s when you can like pounce on them.

But yeah, I just remembered it does have a thing on the side of its Tourette’s that the t26e1-1 or the super Pershing has in it’s called spaced armor. Basically they put armor on it, but didn’t weld it completely to the tour so it sticks out, but it adds as a viable protection because if something hits it sometimes it will ignite and spa on the space protection and won’t directly go right through it.

+1. This is what an interesting vehicle looks like! I think that this would be a fantastic event vehicle or premium!
