M4A2 (75mm) - Emcha's Weakest Form

It looks like I made my own suggestion post on this a little too late unfortunately. However, I still have the pictures from it, so hopefully it’s okay if I add them here.

+1 but the biggest question I have is what configuration would be added? The Soviets received and used the M4A2 in quite a few configs that could have real effects on their in-game performance.

Early mantlet + Late transmission housing + Small hatch

Late mantlet + Early transmission housing + Small hatch

Late mantlet + Late transmission housing + Small hatch

Late mantlet + Late transmission housing + Large hatch

(There might be a few other configs I haven’t personally seen.)

I’m personally more for the first option since it would be the most visually distinct from all the other Shermans already in-game, however, it would also be on the weaker side since it’d have larger turret weakspots and driver hoods. The last option would essentially be just a straight copypaste from the US tree but would also be the strongest.

Personally, this is the Soviet lend-lease tank I am most looking forward to having paired with T-34 (1942) in my lineup. Even, IL-2 Sturmovik: Great Battles have it, so I don’t see why it should not be added in War Thunder.

I would like to have all of these options. Heck, each option should be available as a modification. However, if I must choose one, then I would pick the Early mantlet + Late transmission housing + Small hatch option since it’s what the picture OP selected for this suggestion. Plus, the Sherman from IL-2 Great Battles is that version, too.

Easiest option is not to add any because they don’t need it in any way.

Probably the first option. Other configurations would be nice to see as well, maybe even put into a separate suggestion too.

Least we not forget the German M4A(2)

Just remove the M4A2 from the US tree. Problem solved 😂

Better yet, just don’t add a copy paste M4A2 to russia.

Already happened, it’s just another variant

Yes, that was bad enough, we don’t need a 75mm aswell.

Much better: Remove the M4A2 that was hardly used by the US and replace it with the M4A3

No, it should be an M4A3 HVSS : 3

It is not time. Copy paste should never be added when it doesn’t patch a gap.

+1! I want this so bad for USSR. I think it would make a great event tank like the German Sherman.
