M41GTI - Another Failure

Fact is it was made by thyssen henschel, a german company.

If a vehicle was never put in service, only trialled, at maximum it can be considered for the nations that trialled it.
First priority and largest claim goes to nation that designed the vehicle.
Simple as.

This is just straight up wrong. If it was never put into service, it only goes to the manufacturer nation if it was never trialed by anybody as what I have said earlier.

Also, there is literally not a single picture in here that was intended for the Bundeswehr. Theyre all for the Royal Thai Army and was designed for the Royal Thai Army. If you want a purely “German” M41, might I suggest the M41 DK-1 which is just better with a new engine, thermals, and APFSDS that was trialed by the Danish Army.

Literal lie lol.
The suggestion itself says it wasnt.

The irony of saying a danish m41 is better suited for germany than a german made vehicle that was trialled by some nation some where sometime and never thought of by them again.

Fact is, it doesnt matter what we think.
Rheinmetall makes a ton of vehicles and not all of them end up in service. And for example there are kf51 panthers trialled by nations but as of right now, germany has the first claim to the trialled chassis.

If you want an M41 for japan find something.
If you want an m41 for thailand you cant claim priority nor exclusivity on the GTI.

I would like to note that the exact wording I used was “not exclusively intended for Thailand” and not “not built for Thailand”. Though I have not seen any primary source stating that it was built at the request of the Royal Thai Army, many secondary sources appear to assert that Thailand had some hand in its creation.

That being said, the GTI first appeared at the Defense-86 Exhibition held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to attract other potential buyers. It was only after this exhibition did it undergo trials in Thailand.

Thailand was also not the only nation that trialed the GTI. The ROC did as well and one source even mentions Denmark trialing it, though I have my doubts about that.

It’s also just important to remember that forum rules for categorizing suggestions are in no way equivalent to Gaijin’s own rules for addition. I am of the opinion that arguing about a vehicle’s in-game placement based on rules that Gaijin doesn’t even use is not productive. At the end of the day, the GTI will go where Gaijin wants it to go.

Wtf are you even smoking? This vehicle isn’t german enough for you so you suggest a DANISH vehicle as a replacement for it?
