I want to make sure I’m not tripping here, but is the M3A3 extra armor bugged? Currently waiting to get permitted to post again on the bug report website but want to double check before I prep a report.
it worked against Russian tanks when it first came out but gaijin made sure it doesn’t work against anything anymore

It still does…
Works fine against western tanks, eats Leos for breakfast and mbt70s for lunch. Also works on most light tanks
from my experience the turret mounted machine guns just eats the TOW2B or it pen and kills 1 crew member
It’s unreliable against era.
In my experience the ERA is not the problem… the internal modules like breach/optics etc., that soack most of the damage.
Roof mounted relict or K5 often stops Tow 2Bs in my experience

There is only one (now) MBT with roof mounted relict (T-90M) and two with K5 that can offer some meaningfull protocetion to the crew (T-80UK and T-80U-E1) and all of them are at higher BR then 9.7 (the M3A3) - 10.7 (the maximum upptier of 9.7)…

Yeah I wasn’t sure about that one, but thanks for the correction. Although the plates, behind those that you’re highlighted, are more problematic. Those if penned are just “black” breach and not much more. I usually aim for one of the sides (not center mass), to hit one of the crew in the turret and hopefully the ammo below.
a T90 cant take on a bradley, a worse use of the hull is going to far even more embarrassingly poorly

True, but I don’t seem to have any issue killing nato mbts. It’s the russian ones where it feels like I’m flipping a coin.
It’s probably a combination of both. They should just model the Tow2B accurately and put it back to 10.3 or something.
