M1A2C Hull armor missing

I’m just not sure why they aren’t using the SE Block II as a baseline that would provide a 650~700mm hull vs KE.

well you see this would require functioning braincells to understand which the bug reporting managers do not have

It would also potentially explain the weight discrepancy, if you read the report.

also how did they conclude the turret cheeks armour increase if they cant figure out the hull, it doesn’t even make sense.

we’ve legitimately reached the point where the dev have to be treated like children and forced to show there working out

They’re ragebaiting to leak classified info lmao. I have no words.

Check the M1A1 in dev server, seems like the turret basket has also changed. It’s a lot more open now.

The internal armor is now also one complete volumetric object which should help against angled shots. That include UFP.

Last but not least, the fuel bulkhead is now more detailed and I’m pretty sure they are now volumetric and create slightly less spall as a result.

@SPANISH_AVENGER This might also interest you.

It’s better than nothing and point toward them aleast trying to improve the Abrams damage model. If we’re lucky enough, we might get the bug reported missing fuel armor.

I feel the smell of a certain person in this answer, wonder who could it be…

All our work got hit with “not enough info”

Honestly the armor increase on the cheeks id argue isnt even a true increase
They just slapped an extra 150mm plate on the front of the turret to give the required NGAP shape but left the composites on the inside exactly the same

Not complaining btw more so just pointing out how incredibly lazy this was

Yeah at this point this is no else then ragebait to leak something classified, their answer reeks of rotting bias everywhere

And you know the funny part? It isn’t even 150mm despite the tooltip saying so. It’s 90mm thick on the right cheek and 100mm thick on the left cheek.

Looking frontally at it, it’s 130mm angled, not even 150mm.

That’s it, I’m going to do my thing.

Get ready to have Reddit on flames and have the Forums flooded with aforementioned, rightfully angry Reddit users xD

SEPv3 is NOT making it to Live server with a blatantly obsolete 1979 hull, not without putting up the best fight we can at least.

I’m even considering making a jump into YouTube JUST over this.

I have been waiting for SEPv3 ever since the flood of Strv 122s and Leopard 2A7s started coming… and now they intend to make it just yet another baseline A2 with better thermals? Nope.

Good bug report managers should at least be able yo be somwhat neutral/objrctive right?

Whoever is handling these reports seems to have a stance of “the SEPv3 doesn’t have increased LFP armor, proof me wrong” instead of an actually objective stance. And

why’d they have to make this report classified :(

Yknow that actually explains the armor performing worse than expected in shot sim at least on my quick inconclusive testing
Great catch though i completely missed it

It’s more so that they are unwilling to do anything, to avoid partiality.

All we should need to suggest, is that they increase the performance based on the increased thickness of the Array and the existing RHAe/m values as a baseline since the production vehicle should have no need for a mass simulator.

It was leaked that certain moderator anti-us that gaijin employed that was also doxxed, never left the company, my suspects would fall on him

You see guess-estimation for me but not for thee, i’d immensively prefer they said “this sources are good but for balancing we don’t”

yeah the bug report managers have never done gaijin any good in the PR department, theyre always shutting people down quite negatively it feels

This is the last shred of hope I personally have regarding this matter. The damage model is obviously being reworked and has only been (partly?) added to the M1A1 so far.(Turret basket, Turret ring, volumetric armor, internal armor change).

Meaning it’s gonna get ported to the other Abrams afterward before release(at least what they said in devstream) and that the M1A2SEP v3 damage model is thus far from finished

I’m so glad the turret basket model is being reworked because the visual model was by far the most ambiguous in terms of what parts can and can’t take damage

Yeah- the damage model remains the same, it’s just not as clogged by visual non-damageable surface.
