M829a3 was developed before Relict and Malachite was produced…
So there isn’t a logical reason why m829a3 would be good against either.
It was developed to counter Kontact 1 or 5 reasonably

Stand by my statement, gaijin lost out on more money because they refuse to add accurate weapon systems and people wont by it because its most likely DOA. But we might as well wait until dev server to see.

If the SEPv1 or even base SEPv2 also receive M829A3 they will remain the best US MBTs and will be better than the SEPv3 in game lmao.
The SEPv3 in it’s current state is such a weird and borderline pointless addition.

Soooo what happened to the added turrer sensor packages that we see in a lot of the sepv3 images? We aint getting those sweet looking kits?
ALSO how is the M829a3 almost worse than the M829a2?
It has worse angled pen characteristics and pens slightly less at long range.
It has a marginal increase of 4mm more pen at 10m.
What the actual gaijin is this hahaha

This confuses me. The hull armour is visually changed, you can literally see it in the model, surely it’s buffed?

You hype the new round which is actually worse than the M829a2 - unless you’re subtly telling us you’re gonna nerf the round.

If M829A3 was modeled correctly how much PEN would it do or is it’s value ?
It should pen between 700-800 mmof RHA equivalent out to 2km.
Instead it pens less at 2km than the m829a2 and has worse angled performance as well.

Mate you are in idiot if you think current NATO doctrine would allow Russian ERA to be immune to their best rounds.
US doctrine is to engage and destroy/disable from 3 - 4 km away. IF Relikt is that good we would see panic and the acceleration to the 130mm and 140mm platforms.
Please also remember the US have had Relikt armour to test on and numerous test data from the field.

You do get that projects might take time to get into production just because it entered production in 2006 doesn’t mean that the Specifications weren’t written earlier and so set the desired level of protection.
I shouldn’t have to point out that Malachite is a hold over from the Obj 195 either, do i?
Relict was developed in response to -A2 why would the technique apply to -A3? it uses a novel Bypass mechanic that was not otherwise present.
The problem with K-5 was that it reduced the Overmatch range of -A2 to such a point that Big Army was uncomfortable.
