T tanks was already busted with this “0-spall behind armour thingy” for long because what? Balance? Same balance comes when Abrams or Leopard always get one shooted by any kind of shots that enter the armour with “cross-sections” inside the tank producing more small that the APFSDS itself.

Honestly, Leopard 2A7V could get even DM73.
Sweden has got THREE tanks with equal and even better armor than 2A7V, while 2A7V is the only German tank with 122-level armor.
Therefore, I don’t think it’s too far fetched to ask for that single 2A7V to get a better shell compared to the THREE Swedish tanks with equal or better armor.

Noted. Did you send the FY 2013 deal that says the 3rd gen DU was in the hull as well? Goes with the timeline if we started to see DU in hulls in 2006.

On Page 3-5.:
“The current M1 Abrams tank modernization effort supports two variants.

frontal and turret side armor protection, suspension improvements, an advanced

navigation equipment, improved fire control system, and an improved AGT1500 turbine

Would also support the SEP V2s already having the hull armor in this timeframe.
It only mentions about frontal and turret side armor though unless I’m missing something.
