The M1128 might be the worst Top Tier wheeled vehicle.
Reasons.
Cons
1: Horrible GD as bad as a Soviet Tank.
2: Horrible armour the M1128 can be 7.62 and strafed by any aircraft with guns larger then 12mm
3:Horrible stock HEATFS round.
4:B.R. at a B.R. of 10.3 it gets constant uptiers to 11.3.
5. It’s just bad mostly because you can get the M1 Abrams for the same price and atleast take some hits and live.
Cons, Bad GD, Horrible armour, Bad Stock round, Bad B.R. , can just get Abrams.
Pros…
1: Great Final round M900. The M900 is one of if not the best round for it’s B.R…
2: Good top speed still way slower then its counterparts… decent acceleration Pro tip use the suspension and lower the front of the M1128 and you will accelerate faster and have more GD.
3: Great Thermals way better then the M1 Thermals.
In my opinion the M1128 should be 10.0 because of how out preformed it is by other wheeled vehicles at it’s B.R. or below.

The problem with the M1128 is that its inherently a super situational vehicle, and it can’t really go down. Your solution is to spawn it on maps where it works well, specifically on long-range hull-down maps.

Also dont forget to use its hydropneumatic suspension to boost its gun depression.
Yeah I agree, on some maps, M1128s sniping behind hills with only turret out is hopeless for enemy vehicles, and otherwise in an urban map it itself is hopeless.
Although compared to other wheeled vehicle as well, this BR can totally be justified. ZLT11 sits at 9.7 with worse everything, armour, reload, rounds, speed, manoeuvrability and depression. I would reckon it is a solid 10.3, but super dependent on the map.
That’s why you use the adaptive suspension.

The M900 made me completely change my opinion on this thing. It doesn’t play like any other light tank in its tier but it can still get kills even in 11.7 games
The M1128 would be fine at 10.3 if it got its realistic 6 second reload and actual depression of 8°, also, the .50 cal shield should just be removed without the armor kit.

You are mad about M1128 ? Try the French Vextra 105 and you will understand why M1128 should even be 11.7 …
That certainly is a take.
The Stryker is fine where it’s at, the VEXTRA is sorta fine as well, albeit it’s half paying French tax and half compression that landed it 10.0.

And remember that the Rad 90 is 10.0 with the same shit armor, stock HEAT-FS, but without an unmanned turret, any thermals at all, and a top shell comparable to M833.

Got a chuckle out of me, solid joke.
Do we know if the M1128 carried white phosphorous smoke shells? It should be able to carry the same shells as the M60A3 TTS, which includes the M416 smoke shell. Both carry the M774 APFSDS so giving the stryker smoke shells, in my opinion, would greatly increase its utility.
It is an abysmally sad vehicle. Anyone who says it’s a hull down specialist is dreaming. You could make a case for parking it behind hard cover on level ground but that is such a niche circumstance it doesn’t really count.
It has T-72 type gun depression, which as others have said can be boosted a couple of degress with the hydro suspension. It doesnt matter however because the issue is compounded tenfold by how far rearward the gun is mounted. These two factors mean that in a hull-down scenario, you have to expose most of the vehicle over the horizon to achieve a firing solution. Assuming you aren’t immediately killed, reverse gear is slower than a T-80 which means that you WILL take a round in the front, which is a problem because that’s where the engine is mounted. You’re now dead in the water, sky high silhouetting on a hill.
At 15hp per ton, its half the power to weight of a base model M1 Abrams and is so slow it can’t get out of its own way. The gearbox is dogshit and if you point it at a hill it will slow to a crawl. You’ll never get any important scouts in because you’re always the last one to overwatch positions.
The limited gun aspect means that the bouncy suspension always forces the gun to find its gimbal limit which makes it hard to get a shot off under brakes. The HEAT protection cage doesn’t stop HEAT-FS rounds even in a downtier and 7.62 machine gun rounds will pen the cab. At 7.5 second autoloading, Russian tanks will beat you to the reload.
The vehicle suffers greatly due to the nature of battle ratings. It has to be at this 10.3 because of the M900 round, and the Gen3 thermals. They would be best to leave it with the M774 round, lower the thermal gen and drop it down in BR.
There is absolutely no reason to play it which is a shame because since the M1 went to 10.7 the USA has a gaping hole at 10.0/10.3. Every time I see a Wolfpack I think how criminal it is of Gaijin to charge real life money for those things.
