True, i feel like the SL-AMRAAM could be implemented rn with an early AIM-120A/B with 15/20km range.
Tbf i don’t play GRB but mostly ARB so i cannot really comment about it.
Since early AIM-120A/B were pretty bad ECCM wise, you could still dodge them and since they would be limited to LOBL they would still be pretty limited range wise (16km ARH seeker range).

I still think the AIM-9X blck 2 shouldn’t be implemented tho. Almost undodgable when its seeker locks on you, pretty good range (think double the range of the 9L) , and extremelly maneuvrable (60G + TVC).

TLDR: Yes for the AIM-120A/B, No for the newer AIM-120 (C5+) and for the AIM-9X Blck 2.

I wouldn’t see it as beyond gaijin to make it a 9M.

I would guess they could do it like the AH-1Z where they started with the 9L and are upgrading it as new missiles get added

Anyone know what the range could be in game with the standard SL-AMRAAM, and the SL-AMRAAM-ER?

The US is in desperate need of a better SPAA. (Alongside everyone but Russia)

I don’t remember the source, but I’m pretty sure it’s between 15km and 25km depending on the AMRAAM used.

It’s slightly off topic, but still…

Anyone, know anything about ground launchers for RIM-116? (Sidewinder with Stinger’s seeker)

I know, that this system (Sea RAM) used on bunch of vessels, but cant find anything about ground version.
BTW, it can be pretty solid counterpart of Strela-10 (even better), for 11.0 ground setup.

As long as that is IR missle (well, have a PRH seeker too, for intercepting ASMs, but we ain’t have them in GRB), its ain’t need radar for lock, and even can effectively intercept incoming AGMs, which can be pretty solid for SPAA even on top tier.

And if snail will bless us with SPAA datalink, which provide information from having radar allies, to those, who haven’t - it (radarless) will be problem no more.

No idea if that’s ever been done. It certainly can be done and would be quite easy; the whole point of Sea RAM is that it’s interchangeable with Phalanx mountings. But I’m not aware of anybody swapping out the Phalanx on a Centurion C-RAM with an RIM-116 launcher.

bu…but the pantsir is not op and is actually not that good… Yes people actually believe this, NATO forces or whatever we want to call the western nations in game do not have anything close to how good the pantsir is in game and you are right this should have been addressed patches ago.
