While im not against it nor do i like it. The cost of losing the engine isn’t up to my taste at all.

In my opinion, the tank won’t slow down much; it’ll still be slower than almost the entire team. If it fired faster, it would more than compensate for the loss of engine power.
Idk what you mean by this, the m103a2 has an engine configuration far superior to that of the standard m103.
He probably means by lower hp/t compared to the M103 so the M103A2 is less mobile except for its top speed.

Honestly, if I recall correctly, it was mentioned ages ago that Gaijin had wanted to add the M103A2. Wild that it still hasn’t popped up, though. Take my +1

If it were to be added, it’ll be foldered before the base M103 since there’s quite a downgrade especially with the gunner position and the hump.
I think it should have a better reload time, but not extreme, to make it an attractive vehicle to research.
Well, even if it were 12.5 seconds, I personally would already be satisfied

Seriously though, that makes literally no sense.
Worse engine, gunner in a more vulnerable position being in the front, and gunner hump potentially being an easy weakspot in return for more ammo and slightly higher top speed.

Once again, no way in hell would Gaijin put this lower than the base model. Still, it doesn’t make sense as it outperforms the original in many ways.
especially with the other upgrades the A2 can have “like the rangefinder” etc.

How is having a lower Hp and heavier weight an upgrade though? Practically the only better upgrade is the magnification and the higher top speed. The engine and weight means it takes slightly longer to accelerate and the hump is a potential weakpoint on an otherwise nigh impenetrable turret front. Also what rangefinder are you talking about? It has LRF or something I missed?

The Tank is a General Side Grade only way to prove it else wise is to add it to the game you can snipe a bit better but at the end of the day your the final logic of the USA WW2 Heavy Tank. HEAT rounds like its in game sister will heat you alive.

You know you don’t need to be an ass about it right? Besides, an upgraded ORF won’t have any meaning ingame since they’re all treated the same.
I mentioned the rangefinder purely as an example. Note how I said etc at the end of the previous message. I’m pretty sure I made it VERY clear I wasn’t only talking in-game with the follow up to that message.
Truth being there are in-fact more, and much more important at that, upgrades the A1/A2 have compared to the base production model M103.
Such as the; M14 ballistic computer, Turret electric amplidyne traverse system, A turret basket [Original Had No Basket], improved ammo stows+capacity, upgraded target sight. Then of course there’s the previously mentioned Continental AVDS-1790-2 Super-Turbo Diesel which replaced the outdated Continental AV1790 naturally aspirated gas engine. Ya-know the ill-performing [In the M103] engine originally built for the M46 PATTON!
[But at least some of the Pattons still had a turbo… The original M103 on the other hand, didn’t]

all-in-all, the M103A2 is a faster tougher and much more pleasant version of the tank already in-game and it has more than enough differences to be added to said game without it feeling too copy paste as usual… Cough Gaijin Cough.

Dropping M469 on the base M103 to push it down while keeping the A2 up, is actually a great idea and I can totally see Gaijin doing that.

And yes, the MERDC on it is 100% real original MERDC from the USMC Reserve Center in Yakima, WA.
This tank is one of a kind, and it is also my favorite… SO I WILL ALLOW NO BESMIRCHING OF IT!
I also made a pretty accurate UserSkin of it which I may or may not post. It really depends on if the A2 is ever actually added to the game and if enough people would want it.
