I believe it’s 42 t base.maybe not though
Gotcha, well hull armor wise I think it’s likely similar to the ASCOD family. Likely composites to deter small arms fire, up to 30mm APFSDS at a range of 500m, +/- 30 degrees on frontal arc (STANAG 4569 Level 6) which means up close this thing is probably a bit better than in-game CV9030FIN (just for comparison purposes). With add on armor, which we don’t know about yet, probably comparable to the 9040C but we’ll see. I haven’t seen anything on DU, it’s highly likely it’s just adaptable composite armor.
Well, the original replacement was the Airborne M8. But that was only scrapped due to congress wanting to shrink the spending.
They should make the M10 10.0 like the 2S25M lmao
(Honestly they both belong at 10.7+ if we’re being honest here)
We’ll probably have an early and late version. The one that was suggested and a series-production variant with the APS and addon armor package which will change things up a bit. 10.3 (or 10.7) and 11.0 probably.
Dude it’s a Light tank weight has nothing to do with the vehicle.
The M4 Sherman weighs around 33->35. Depending on the variant. But this also means it has the armor.
M24: around 19 tons
The M41 Bulldog weighs around 23 but that’s also because it’s essentially a glass cannon.
The M1A2 Abrams: 62.5 , M48 Patton tank: 49.6 tons and M46 Patton(M26E2): 48.5 tons
M10 booker in terms of weight comes to a 38–42. However, its armor is why it classifies it as a light tank and we will call it as we see it. So deal with it.
Also yes I’m aware the US Army calls it an SPG. However, I don’t care what they call it, it’s only really classified as such so tank crews don’t go on a joy ride and start engaging tanks.
M10 is faster, more armor, and better gun depression & movement. Should be at least 0.3 higher.
Guess what it says 5 messages below that
Given the current war in Ukraine I wouldn’t be surprised if the M10 and future Abrams see a complete anti-drone upgrade package.
M10 probably won’t since its meant to be an airborne vehicle to support paratroopers. From my understanding though it’s probably gonna be assisting support units as well.
Yeah. Every time I think of the Abrams I’m shocked at how bad it is in game.
Every time I get my cheeks clapped by getting out loaded because they have the same 5 second reload as me but with a better round.
Every time I see 5 Abrams’ at my spawn I wonder why Gaijin never gave it the spall liner from the prototype and the DU hull form the 5 pilot vehicles and the SEP V.3.
Nah, that’s the minimum requirement.
I don’t believe a light tank with a little armor weighs 42 tons that’s BS. It’s likely just as armored as the Abrams. Just a lot smaller in size. -20 ton difference, that’s what I believe.
I played the v2 yesterday, I think gaijin has made small changes to it recently.
No it’s not faster. It has the same power to weight ratio
I disagree. There’s no evidence of the vehicle receiving DU armor, and its layout is highly similar to the ASCOD platform, I highly doubt that they inserted additional composites to make it MBT-like. Realistically. The platform weighs a lot more but because it does, doesn’t mean that the vehicle is loaded with all of this armor. We also don’t have the exact weight measurements anyway. Electronics, the new turret, new engine, there’s a lot that has gone into this that can make its weight very dynamic. If anything, the turret would’ve received the additional armor but the hull is still an ASCOD
I don’t believe you understand how much 42 tons is. Another thing is it gains no speed advantages. Why is this? We already have Bradley’s for troop movements and support. Why would we need a less armored tank? I’m not saying it has DU. I believe it to be way more armored than the passing qualifications though.
Electronics? The Bradley weighs 25- 30 tons. I would say the booker has similar weight to the newest Bradley in electronics. Where is the other 12 tons coming from?
105mm gun maybe
? A cannon weighs about 1 ton.
