T-80’s 70km/h is not that much higher than IPM1’s 68km/h.

The T-80 may have worse gearing than IPM1 which results in IPM1’s better acceleration.

-11km/h is much less forgiving than -38km/h, regardless of how well you position yourself.

You can escape some bad and unforseeable situations by backing off in an Abrams where the T-80 may struggle.

You can side-scrape better in the Abrams without having to turn your hull around and potentially exposing your rear to enemy fire.

You can use ESS + Thermals more easily by giving yourself room to maneuver in and out of smoke or hard cover.

I will say it’s new 6 second reload is nice and will beat out a stock crewed M1 IP, and because it’s an autoloader, if you’re down to 2 crew it also still out reloads you. And also higher gen thermals makes it easier to spot things

I think the T-80U is much easier to play on bad crews but if you can afford to get top crew with at least expert qualification, the Abrams is better off.

Also no turret basket because for whatever reason the Abrams has one that affects traverse (a majority of the basket, upwards of 95%, should NOT affect traverse- just hydraulic lines).

Agreed. Either remove all turret baskets in the game or give it to every vehicle that have them.

Bad gun depression paired with bad reverse has to be one of the most aggravating things I’ve experienced in this game.

So what? Nobody at 11.3 is running 0/150 crews.

Even mediocre crews will have half a second faster reloads than the T-80U.

An IPM1 being down to 2 crew means it’s suffered two casualties.
Let’s apply that same argument to the T-80U: I’d say it reloads significantly slower than the IPM1 given that the T-80U is only going to get the next shot off once it respawns (2 dead crew = dead T-80U).

Please stop arguing about vehicles which you don’t know anything about. Both vehicles have 1st gen thermal sights.

It’s totally fine if you don’t know much about a given vehicle. I just don’t understand why you’d refuse to accept the boundaries of your knowledge though.

• You’re wrong on the mobility claim.
• You didn’t even know which ammunition the T-80U fires/what it’s penetration values are.
• You’re wrong on the thermal sight generations.
• You’re wrong on the reload speeds.

at 11.7 the 12.7s it would face would just completely dominate it and it would stand no chance.

IPM1 is just a M1A1, and the M1A1 fights 12.7’s just fine considering the BR difference.

I’d rather fight 12.7’s in an IPM1 than in a T-90M, T-72B3A, Challenger 2 OES, TES, or plenty of other inferior vehicles.
