The list of bug reports is absolutely gigantic and gaijin just implement more copy paste stuff, benelux, the new thai tree. Didnt even try use the T4 instead of the alpha jet.

I get that it takes time to fix things, but yeah, when it hits 1-2 years old, it should move to the top of the pile. Still waiting for napalm for the Sea-Vixen and Buc, those were reported on the old forum with the old bug report system

Yeah and unfortunately it’s not just Gaijin that shares that sentiment. I have seen a few times people comment things like “but no one plays that aircraft so why should they invest any time into it. It’s better to fix [something US or USSR] because more people do play it”
if the community lost the attitude of " I want what I use made perfed, n sod the rest" then the game would be in a far, far better place IMHO

whats the excuse though, they arent designed or making new vehicles models that often, at all. most of the new stuff isnt even new its just copy and paste, some of it literally is copy and pasted right into other nations. E.g ftench leos
Both should honestly go to 8.3 at least, no way they are higher than T-55A which has pretty much better everything except armour, but lets be honest, the apfsds and heat-fs completely negate any armour chieftain has. Let alone being at same br as T-55AMD.
Tho this issue wont be fixed until goyjin gets some sense and lowers max uptier/downtier to one step above or below instead of full br.
Are you kiddin man? xD the chieftains are fantastic at 8.7, put them down to 8.3 and watch them compress an entire BR bracket…
the T55 is marginally faster than the Mk5 chieftain, only only 7KMPH faster than the mk3, while it is more mobile and smaller, it has a substantially worse round, substantially worse armour and has a similar reload. well aced they have the same 7.5 seconds
The MK5 got a report to get the LRF for it, and technically L15A5 should be an APDS it can access
(if they bothered to model it right but RN its just a C&P L15A3)
This I could get behind though, it would solve a plethora of issues without having to rely on gaijin to rework BRs constantly

They would not negatively affect the current balance, it would not be the first time they were at 8.3. They would be very much comparable to other 8.3’s while being worse than T-55A in every way at 8.3 except armour.
T-55A has considerably better ammo, not only does its best shell have way more pen but it is also APFSDS of close caliber so automatically better, even when its a lighter shell, still post pen is better.
But also has HEAT.
My T-55A is actually pretty useless, the only time I do well is I sit at a corner playing rats

MK5 is comparable in mobility has roughly the same HP/PT the T55 eaking out a meesily 3 more HP/PT over the chieftain.
Chieftain also has substantially better depression, gun traverse and turret traverse.
The T55A shell is not considerably better at all, its been proven time n time again with the chieftain that the L15A3 spalls more than a standard APDS , the chieftain also has substantially more angled penetration than the T55A, 162 > 129
I never use the heat on tanks past about 7.7 BR, rarely as it is.
Its not horrible but its not great either tbh
It has one of the worst darts for the game, its just an APDS with fins strapped to it.
I do agree with what @MasterOfUltramar said about the BR’s being reworked so its no longer a full 1.0 uptier or downtier. It genuinely would resolve a plethora of issues especially in GRB.
Yea, this has been argued since the old times, yet gaijin doesnt seem to get the hint.
I know they argued about queue times but I feel like that just a convenient excuse, especially for ground rb where queue times aint bad. Maybe itd be issue for naval but not for main modes.
Back 5 years ago i got it, peak had like 60k people, now peak times have about 200k, theres really no excuse for it tbh.
Oh also on a happier note for the chieftains, theres an accepted Bug report for them that they all have the incorrect engines, as well as the mk5 having a LRF
Exept they arent worse, the chieftain at least has a role that excels at, they are quite strong at hull down, the t55 is just mediocre at every situation and there isnt much of a reason for it to be lower br than the t62.
The problem often is the lack of decent hull down maps these days.
you can still find them in most maps, i think they are fine at 8.7 i have been doing quite well with them recently and i would pick them over the t62 or t55a any time of the day
Perhaps. Definetly needs a round of buffs though.
Iirc. Engine and armour are underperforming and APDS and HESH have major issues.
