Lockheed Martin F-35A Lightning II - Forerunner of the 5th Gen Aircraft

R-37M could not be carried internally because of the large finspan, and that’s why the Russians developing Izdeliye 810.

The Su-57’s weapon bay could accommodate only four R-77M (Izdeliye 180) and two R-74M2 (Izdeliye 760).

I’m not going through a 1-hour video or translating that image to disprove you. I believe you ig.

For some reason it’s extremely hard to find reliable sources about the SU-57 and its payload capacity… It took me 10 minutes to find out it seemingly has side bays with each one missile, which are not even mentioned on most websites. The two belly bays are usually said to have 3 hardpoints each, but some fake pictures depict 4 small missiles in a square arrangement. The wings seem to have 3 external pylons each. So yeah with such blurry informations it’s gonna be hard to get a precise idea of what we’re working with
edit: according to chatgpt (not that reliable I know but eh at this point) the belly bays can only hold a total of 4 instead of 6, which brings the count back to 6 with the side bays but doesn’t correspond to the pictures…

being fr fr its no matter how many missiles it can carry or RCS, the point is the enemy. F35 gets way closer to its target, being SAM sites way better than the 57. The 57 could have more chanches against a force with Eurofighters and F35s, having more missiles can play more defensive. you have to consider also both amraams and Meteor in the fighting theatre. reality is the best plane is the one wich can use to effect the larger amount of its weapons. The su57 launching 10 missiles with 2 connecting is way worse than a F35 launching 4 missiles with 3 connecting. in war thunder i think that a F35 with meteors and IRIS-T will be way better than SU57

F-35 with Meteors vs SU-57 with R-37M is a fight I’d like to see.
