why do people want this to be a tech tree vehicle? its just a bomber but worse if an air main wants to grind past it they might as well use any other plane and it would only be good in ground i cant help but have the feeling gaijin would give it the B-52/TU-95 treatment and have it be at a BR where it faces stingers at best and it would probably be busted at that BR because the hellfires and the cannon targeting computer

Why not, Not everybody wants to spend +$50 bucks for a premium or deal with collections vehicles.
Pretty sure people already do grind past vehicles they don’t like

It would be pretty good in the infantry mode I think since it and other similar gunships are designed mainly to hit infantry and light armour.
New weapon for the AC-130J, courtesy of AFSOC and Leidos Dynetics, the AGM-190A Havoc Spear:
It’s pretty much the same as the base AGM-190 Black Arrow Small Cruise Missile with a 740km (400NM) range powered by a Pratt & Whitney TJ150-7 turbojet capable of reaching speeds of around Mach 0.8 with a 23kg (50lb) warhead weighing in at around 95 kg (210 lb) in total.
Guidance mode has not yet been revealed but it’s rumoured to be similar to what the earlier AGM-190 Black Arrow was required to have which is an:
EO/IR seeker and as an objective incorporate a multi-mode seeker package able to acquire and/or reacquire targets in flight. At threshold it shall have a removable payload section that can accept 13lbs of warhead or other desired payload (objective of 37 lbs), compatibility with an X-Net radio, electric propulsion, and an INS/GPS (M-Code) capability.
Key attributes include the long range, data link connection to Situational Awareness Data Link (SADL) (threshold) and SADL/Link-16 (objective), resilient GPS/INS to work in a denied GPS environment, a sensor capable of identifying targets once over the target area, and a payload to effect the target.

At 1:13 in the video there appears to be a laser visible guiding the missile so likely it does now have the multimode seeker with GPS for initial guidance and SAL/IR for terminal homing.

Also seems like the AC-130J’s (and H/MC-130J’s) is being fitted with the same AN/APG-83 Scalable Agile Beam Radar fitted on the F-16C PoBIT and F-16V.

I’m for this but a tad surprised the choice for the J model versus the older ones. I understand the modern take on current available wing pylon / cargohold loadable weapons I.e. hellfire IIs, GPS guided munitions, laser guided munitions rocket tubes and whatnot, but they did pull the GAU from this one unfortunately. This variant is a combined standoff striker besides close support compared to its earlier variants. The U being the 130H model wouldn’t be a bad fit either since it had wing tip loadable weapon pylons as well, its combat history and it officially retired not that long ago. For the DIRCM system, that would be interesting to see implemented since you can basically overload the system w IR missiles launched w/in a very short span and if paired w automatic countermeasures dispensing, folks would run out right away despite have a lot for this airframe. If it does get added then it would pave way for the SU-57 and its DIRCM system (future thought)
I’d like the Spooky (H) for lower ground BRs and the J for higher BRs. Either mark should only be for Ground combined battles only, much like how the Walrus and ROC are only in naval battles.

Griffin tubes are also mounted facing downward attached to the Cargo/Ramp Door on various models, separate launcher wouldn’t be needed. Could go either way. In the pic you can see the exit holes/ports on the cargo door. On another thought, if this does come to fruition, or at least the older models that the IR/RF jamming/Ecm comes along w it if possible.
