What armor package does the 2RI have? Is it like the 2A4 or the STRV 122? I saw in the article above about the 2A4 Evolution that it’s from the STRV122.
If it has STRV, it will probably have the best hull armor of the Leopard, which will make it a good vehicle for Japan.
Should be same as Strv 122B+.

That would be cool if it’s true, but do you by any chance know what kind of thermal imager it has? Like the 2A4? Or better?
Most likely 3rd gen with 4x to 12x zoom for the gunner and 4x to 8x for the commander.
Im pretty sure the thermal imager is the exact same as the 2a4 its just that the turret drive was upgraded and the breach to use dm53+
2A4, i don’t think they ever upgraded its thermals since it is a B-Tech Leopard 2A4 w/ the Evolution kit.
Only upgraded to use DM11 - DM73 etc are not compatible.

Well, overall it’s so-so, but if the hull armor is at the level of strv122b+, then it’s tolerable.
The hull armor on the Leopard 2RI should perform better. From what i know, both tanks use AMAP as aditional armor and for the 2RI it is thicker than on the strv122b+.
Thought some of you might find this interesting (or not) but I have been working pretty hard on the base template for this tank. I like to redo all the weathering, it has new anti-slip materials. Now to paint the camo/decals and last sort out the N files (which is why it is totally matte).

It looks really cool, I like all leopards except the Swedish ones, well, this is a personal dislike for the Swedish branch, but 2ri looks really cool, I can’t wait to level it up

One thing from my hobby of model kits is to add some rust, dirt around the tracks and fuel / oil spill around the gas caps! I love seeing the behind the curtains looks of the production of a skin!

Thanks! Sadly its not possible to change the track texture but I can add some fuel spills on the engine deck :)

:-) Little oops makes things look lived in. When battle happens accidents do happen fill it up and run!
Nice, maybe next you can try other Camo pattern like the early 2 tone pattern and 4 tone WW1 style camo
