Hello, as much as I know appealing to the devs critical thinking skills is wasted effort, I still will give it a shot.
As some of you may came to realise, the Leopard 2A8s depression was nerfed by the lack of knowledge in regards the brochure used for the report.
In the following pictures you can see the origin of the -7.4 degree, as they came from the trialing of the Spectus driver sight. As anyone with two healthy eyes can see, this build on structure would block depression over the front.
How ever, one must realise, that the designers of the Leopard, like the foxes they are, realised that the Spectus might need a new place. And so they did.
As shown in the image above, the Spectus was smoothly integrated into the hull for the production model of the Leopard 2A8 (and A7s, which can be literally found in the game of Warthunder!!!)
So I plead to the devs, the brochure used to make this change is unreliable when it comes to the A8, as further example the weight in it, does not fit the A8 at all.
And its because the intern at KNDS was rather lazy and just changed the name from A7 to A8 in the brochure.
