2A4M for sure, I have it and it’s really good, grinded it to Puma VJTF and Leopard 2A5.
Personally it looks really good, it has good survivability, 580mm of pen, fast and more…

2A4M is worse, relative to its BR, by large margin; as well as being inferior to Clickbait and the premium T-80.
On top of that, Pzbtl 123 can easily form a 10.7 lineup, whereas 2A4M has only the Senrai Maidens variant to go with at 12.0.

Well you have F/A-18C which is 12.3 in GRB, buying 12.0 tank would be more practical then 10.7 tank, so I suggest for waiting
ik those are the problems so im considering to grind to top tier but im grinding the russia at the same time im soo confused rn i got the time tho i can buy in 4 days still i wanna hear some more opinions about this but thanks maybe i ll go with the pzbtl
ultimately, what you want to get is entirely up to you. Im just sharing my experience with them, as I have both Pzbtl 123 and 2A4M.
The good:
- without mine protection and slat, 2A4M is second lightest Leopard 2 in the game, beaten only by standard 2A4
- this also means 2A4M is the second fastest Leopard 2 in game
- 2nd gen gunner thermal
- strip of MEXAS addon armor on upper part of UFP
The bad:
- Combination of K-EW and Leo 2 reload time. You dont pen that much more than your competitors, and you dont get the 5 sec aced reload. Clickbait sits at same BR with 5 sec aced reload and M829A2.
- the addon MEXAS effectively does nothing since it lacks beak
- 2A4 internal armor scheme, no D-tech composites
- sits within the BR spread of the LDIRCM/Kh-38MT “fun” zone
You have no lineup at 12.0 beside the other premium 2A4M, and you have ZERO reason to bring 2A4M to the 12.3/12.7 as there are several better Leo 2 variants. Even its niche - 2nd gen thermals - gets filled by free to obtain Leopard 2PL with better shell. Moreso with the recent autoloader buffs, not only you have to go weakspots on extremely well armored tanks, you wont even outreload your opponent.
Compare that to Pzbtl123 which can field full 10.7/10.3 lineup of several very strong vehicles, and this lineup gets only stronger if you have Vilkas and Boxer MGS. And doesnt have to deal with the LDIRCM stuff nor get blasted by Kh-38MTs.
Consider 2A4M only if it ever drops to 11.7(not happening, too good when compared to 11.7 tanks) or gets DM53 and gets shoved to the 12.3.

I have both tanks The two version of The 2a4m (+ The f18c swiss) and the Christian2 (which is The exact same as panzer btl123 but with less smokes).
For my experience, id go for 10.7 whose sitting at a better overall match making considering 12.0 12.7 is horrible rn.
Both will be outdated soon when rank IX tanks hit the servers.
I know that a new rank for Air was announced, but I don’t recall a new rank for Ground being announced as well?
10.7 is a vastly better br range
but i dont have any cas options to use or any other tank at that br
F-4F is pretty good
2 mavericks + lots of zunis or dumb bombs on a supersonic platform

The standard 2A4 is objectively better for its BR. If you decide to use the F18C with the 2A4M you will be 12.3 and therefore face full top tier BVM, 122B, A7HU etc. and the SPAA will be relentless at this BR so you won’t get much out of the F18C.
Therefore I would probably go for the Leo2A4.

going for iron bombs/ zuni kills with F-4F is…brave, to say at least lol. and that was BEFORE everyone got free AA.

yes, its objectively the better choice out of the two german premiums, see comment above as to why
you will have fun in ARB - but that is assuming tho you have some experience with jets. If youre jumping straight from props to jets, you will suffer.
As for CAS, I wouldnt bring it in single lineup with Pzbtl 123. You will uptier a 10.7 tank to 12.3, and you will spend most of your time in said tank in order to get SP for the Hornet. And even then the Hornet isnt exactly stunning CAS. Its good, and swiss hornet was the best german top tier CAS till they added SPICE bombs to EFT, but requires some nuance to use in current top tier enviroment.

as CAS for 10.3 lineup, same issue as with swiss hornet - you will uptier 10.3 tanks to 11.3 BR where they will face much more superior opponents

Dont get me wrong, it still arguably has best missile for hunting other helicopters (maybe LMURs/JAGMs overtook it but since these are IR guided and thus LDIRCM affects them…) but the moment you get uptier, you will suffer.
wouldnt buy it nowadays, instead id suggest you to grab yourself some premium time and grind the helicopters with use of tanks + maybe GE your way to ATGMs once you have the heli you want (which for 10.3 lineup would be the TT Mi-35 which comes at small cost of BR of 10.7).

I would pick the 2A4 but
you probably dont want to hear this, but maybe you should grind with talismans. It allows you to experience the entire techtree step by step and you can choose to talisman the tanks you like, so you dont risk spending money on a tank that you dont enjoy.
Some benefits:
+you actually experience the techtree with all its gems
+you dont have to play the same tank for hundreds of battles
+you are not forced to play a certain BR
+you will have a line-up
+you level up your crews in an more beginner friendly enviroment
+unlocking the techtree leopard2a4 feels much better. It gives you a goal that makes the grind more bearable.
Otherwise you grind in a Leopard for another Leopard. And you dont run in to the situation where you have to decide if you want to grind the 2A7 with the 2A5 or stick with the premium for a more efficient grind.
After multiple maxed out nations and techtrees I can tell you that the road to the next tanks is actually more fun than the tank you unlock itself. Maybe its just me, but usually once I reach the end of an techtree I dont actually play it alot, usually I begin a new techtree.
So imo talismans are the best way to grind fast and have alot of fun.
I know it can be more expensive depending if you have good timing with 50% off sales and how many talismans you decide to buy, but I would value fun and time over money, especially when you are in a life situation where you have enough extra money.
