Leopard 2A4 (Chieftain Replacement Trial) - Because at this point, why not? Part 1

Players of those nations HATE having to grind multiple trees to unlock their vehicles. The Hunter AFV is a Singaporean vehicle and a TT vehicle in Israel, the choice has been made. The fight is over. That’s where all their vehicles are going.

British mains really are worst 😭✌️

Tell that to Gaijin they don’t care about the players how many TT will grind they will split the vehicles because it’s suits them, and that’s why I am afraid they will give it to China

That’s a political shit show not even gajin would repeat

Are you sure? They just put Somaliland vehicle under Somalia, Taiwan is already in China and if they add a premium Leopard in china Gaijin is gonna make millions

No, no. You can see they’ve finally understood the assignment with Australia. In a historical first they even duplicated a squadron vehicle.

They also had a ton of pushback with Singapore going to China.

I’m giving this a -1, but I do truly get the (probably caused out of frustration) joke that hides behind this suggestion. So Kudos for creating it!

We all know Gaijin has opened Pandora’s Box.

and especially since we have Vickers Mk.7 and a possible future Vickers Mk.7/2

+1 as event only. Absolute straw-clutching, but admissible.

-1, no

I’m sure it will be coming in the next major update though.

Why waste an event for this?

  1. Unsuitable for Researchable.
  2. GE or Pack Premium would allow it to be purchased, meaning high availability.
  3. Event means that after the initial availability period, the vehicle becomes much rarer.

I don’t think this would be a good addition to the UK TT, in part because it’s an obscure evaluation failure and in part because there are more suitable Leopards available via Canada (which should be either an independent tree or, as is considerably more likely, a UK Subtree).

Better to get a copy paste Challenger for an event than a copy paste Leopard for the British TT.

The UK TT has 13 Challenger variants including the 3 Premiums. I don’t think adding yet another would solve any particular problem, though of course the Challenger 2 130 is always an option.

Adding export or Commonwealth MBTs into the new 10.7-12.7 gap would contribute to TT progression, and Canada in particular is badly split across multiple tech trees.

I don’t want Canada to go to Britain, they have the Challengers, Abrams and T-90 and gonna get the Arjun, putting another MBT it’s gonna be too much, you can’t have 5 different MBTs in your TT, and you have the Vickers mk7 that’s is basically a Leopard, even Japan has 3 different MBTs and I think 3 should be the maximum anything above it is just too much, in the future Israel will have Leopards, T-80s and Merkavas and that’s ok and I don’t want the Greek Challenger or Abrams or Leclerc or T-84 to come in the TT (I have no problem for the Leopard 2A5 because it was the one that was chosen), would you like every TT having more than 3 different MBTs?

This isn’t an argument for this thread. Suffice to say my opinion is that if the UK should get any Leopard (1 or 2), it should firstly be via Canada rather than this trials vehicle borrowed from the Bundeswehr.

It’s is because it’s the reason I say -1 on this tank, and generally any leopard for Britain
