Definitely a +1 from me, the BR gap between the 2a4 and 2a5/2a6 needs to be filled. A souped up 2a4 is the best candidate for that

Absolutely, especially since the 10.0-11.0 range for Germany heavily relies on event vehicles and premiums.
Only a single 2A4 and after that you’re down to TAM 2C which is ok but nothing too special considering the 2S25M literally has 3BM60 now at the same BR.
Leo 2K is also ok but has absolutely no armor (shredded by 2S28 and BMP) and no thermals and the Puma is just absolutely terrible.

Great idea for a gap-filler tank. I’ve often seen people complain about Sweden having more Leopard 2s than Germany, which actually isn’t true but anyway, this could be a step in the “right” direction. 10.7 with DM33 sounds completely fine in my opinion.

actually that’s true for tech tree “production” leopard 2, sweden have 6 (strv 121, 122a,122b plss, 122b+, 2a4, and 2a6) while germany only have 5 (2a4, 2a5, 2a6, 2a5 PSO, and 2a7v)

You’re right, I counted all variants incl. event and premium. In terms of TT, as you said, Sweden has one more. In terms of overall, Germany has a few more (PT16-T14, 2PL, 2AV etc(.
But I guess after all TT is what really counts, so thank you for pointing out my mistake.

+1, a Tech-C armor leopard with DM33 is what we need in Warthunder, which fills the gap of germany in 10.7, while germans need also different leopards to add in gap between 10.7 and 11.3 would be great

Absolutely!
Especially with the amount of premiums addes over the last year or so 10.3 - 11.3 has become a very popular space for people that want to play variants of Leo 2, M1, T-80 etc. but without constantly facing the 11.7 onslaught.
And since Germany only has a single tech tree 10.3 and nothing at 10.7 or 11.0 this would be a very good gap filler.

Well it’s basically just a linear upgrade in firepower and armor for the 2A4 but afaik this variant was indeed only used by Germany.
The exported tanks were all more or less of the 1985 2A4 standard which is already in game.
That is correct. 325 C-Tech 2A4s were built. 150 in the 6th batch, 100 in the 7th and then 75 in the 8th batch. The KWS 2 conversion started before 1995 with 125 2A5s being built in the first batch. The number of C-Tech hulls was already insufficient for the second batch of further 125 vehicles (already included some 2A6s).
Fun fact, the 2A6FIN’s hull is currently overperforming. The dutch only had B-Tech 2A4s, which they upgraded all the way to 2A6 standard.

I know, but nobody bothered to report it afaik.
Tbh it doesn’t matter because why use the 2A6 if you have three Strv 122 with full spall liners and better armor than the 2A7V/HU

@NoodleCup31 I was wrong, Switzerland used C-Tech 2A4s as well. 225 of the 380 Pz 87s produced, are based on the 6th batch configuration.
