Leonardo AW-249 Fenice

You know, the AH-64D is old and we need to really just replace it. Dangerous too, look up how many airmen have died flying these in all of 2023 alone in the US. I would recommend to US DoD to license build/buy these to replace the AH-64D (and or to replace half the fleet given US helicopter projects don’t seem favorable to win any bids anytime soon).

+1. As of april, Poland and Hungary already considered the vehicle for operation, looks very promising.

Actually would be pretty cool for April Fools (or other) event with Leonardo tank as well.

I voted No because this helicopter is not even released for Serial Production to the Army. I would rather let Gaijin focus on existing helicopters instead, where more documentation is opened to the public, since a prototype or a vehicle in Development will have lots of data - even generic data - as classified.

You are saying this like the AW249 doesn’t even exist.

That didn’t stop Gaijin from add 2S38 and a bunch of other 2020’s prototypes.

That’s why I see it as an issue - and I would prefer for Gaijin to not repeat it. Even if the vehicle is too recent, like the late Challengers, we still have some Classified specs like turret armor where the military wants to keep it secret.
As for “existing vehicles”, it was a bad expression from my side, I meant by it “fully released”, where the vehicles are either in Serial Production or if they existed as prototypes and the specs are publicly available and not just open to speculation. We still have helicopters from Italy - especially from Agusta Westland - that are retired/serving in the army and are not in War Thunder yet.

More cockpit photos, I think they have been out for a few months

Maybe it’s just an impression ( or maybe the camera angle), but i find the seat a little higher than what I imagined, for some reason

The addition of this heli would be amazing and very important to make italy still relevant in game.

Hell yeah, we need more italian helicopters (seriously, how does Italy have such a small helicopter techtree despite having such a large selection). Looking at the specs and the weapons, this will probably be one of, if not the best helicopter at top tier. Being able to carry 16 fire and forget missiles, plus two (double?) air to air missiles AND a chin-mounted gatling gun? This thing is armed to the teeth!

Definetly a +1 from me!

Technically we’re supposed to have this as our LDIRCM.
