Latin American Ground Forces Tree

What happened to the CV9030 trials that was held a year ago?

I was looking for the up-gunned M113 and I’ve found this little demon. Bernardini XM3C1.

The vehicle did very well, possibly the Brazilian Army or Marine Corps will buy it, it was supposed to be at the military exhibition this year but they had problems with the dates. The vehicle is perfect for what the military wants.

Would you like a topic talking about the first time the Centauro 105mm was used in Brazil?

did anyone already posted the modernized leo2a4chl?

After the studies and possible improvements to the FCS have been carried out, all of this will be installed this year, so we are waiting for the army itself to publish some photos showing the modernization or for something to be leaked.

i think this is the best example at this moment, shows the new modifications.

These are the confirmed systems and those that have already been paid for. According to what has been learned in recent weeks, two new tenders will now be opened, now for additional armor and a possible APS. The army will see what the different companies offer, although prioritizing the Turkish companies.

At least one Comet in Cuban service appears to have been fitted with a .50 cal, which would be a unique modification that I believe could justify its presence in this tree. It would work nicely in rank III at 5.3.

Top tier tank needed so K2 Black Panther

In November 2024, Hyundai Rotem signed a strategic defense agreement with Peru to supply K2 Black Panther tanks and K808 wheeled armored vehicles. This agreement was formalized in Lima.
Hyundai Rotem also did a promotion showcased the K2 Black Panther at the SITDEF 2025 defense exhibition in Lima.
Theres also reports indicate that the first batch of K2 tanks arrived in Peru in March 2025, signaling the commencement of this modernization program.(although need citation).

Swiss subtree in Germany has pretty much killed any hope of an alpine tree.

If the L-39 in the USSR tree solidifies the Czechoslovakian (and it’s successor states) vehicles into the USSR (We’ve seen vehicles move around before so I’m hoping it’s the case again), that leaves only Yugoslavia and a Latin American tree left as a fully feasible tree.

Hope they don’t fumble this one

As much as I personally think the Alpine Tree is cool, I saw it coming. Germany is a main nation in War Thunder, and it needed something to keep going as more advanced jets got introduced. Switzerland was it. It should also provide with more diversity for other BRs (in both air and ground) as well, and maybe even a Swiss/Austrian ground vehicle here and there for a potential replacement for the TAM series (more so the TAM 2C, as the regular TAM is easily replaceable by Germany’s own TH-300/TH-301).

Now for LATAM there isn’t really any top tier material that could be “stolen” for an existing tree in the game, so we’re safe in that regard. The only thing Gaijin could do about it is take some of the vehicles in the middle ranks to spice up another tree, but even then I believe it’d be an approach just like the Merkavas in the US tree (a few event vehicles here and there until Gaijin has enough vehicles ready for its own tree). The LATAM country most likely to have that happen is Chile, with some of its ground vehicles (specifically those modified with Israeli tech) going to Israel. At least we already have the guarantee that Argentina isn’t a subtree for Germany.

I guess that’s a bright spot

Still fearing the worst for the Yugoslavia and V4 tree
