It doesn’t specifically say Kurnass 2000 but it implies that a Phantom that uses Pythons and Shafrir can also use Sparrows I guess. Still happens to be a bad source (blog).
As far as I can tell, that’s just a random blog rather than anything directly from the IDF.
kurnass 2000 has the f16 radar and it says the phantom with the f16 radar. and you can see in another picture it has the camera for gbu’s
you can see the sparrows
Lmao there are no sparrows in this picture
theres 4 lmao pythons do not look like that and arent that big
You’re telling me the 4 missiles, obviously pythons, hanging from stations that cannot support Sparrows… Are sparrows… K
I’ve never seen sparrows with IR seeker heads. Can someone confirm I’m seeing black correct?
Dude is unhinged
Its radar doesn’t have a CW illumination antenna which is needed for sparrow guidance.
Pretty sure its just talking about the Phantom in general, considering that the Phantom used Sidewinders, Sparrows, Shafrirs and Pythons (and also the AMRAAM but thats not listed in your source) in different countries services
Kurnass 2000 does not have the F-16’s radar, the APG-66, it has the APG-76, something that is very different.
Python - 3 :
(clearly those on the Dual Rails, on each wing pylon)
Sparrow:
Python-3’s are located on : 2/3 and 9/10 stores
Sparrows (AIM-7’s) are located on 4/5 and 7/8 stores [those stores, are Airframe integrated, and the Sparrow goes about 45% into the slot → this have been made to limit the Drag on the aircraft]
matawg is not reliable at all, for example claimed mig 9.12 to not be able to carry r73s, while it could, and thing is, the kurnass 2k couldnt guide the missile at all, so it cannot fire it at all
They’re obviously AIM-7Rs /s
