Can you find an image of the Peace Icarus mounting AMRAAM?

Good question, I cannot.

MatAWG strikes again.

Incorrect. Greece also has an upgraded phantom (F-4PI-2000) which has AMRAAM capabilities and is still in active service using the AIM-120 AMRAAM (120B to C-7)

The Kurnass 2000 is not compatible with AIM-120s, it never carried any radar-guided air-to-air missiles in any shape or form. The Kurnass 2000 entered service in 1989, in the early 80s all Phantoms in IDF/AF service were removed from active combat roles (which were taken over by the new F-15s) and were used exclusively as strike aircraft. It’s why I belive the Kurnass 2000 should be designated ingame as a strike aircraft and not as a fighter.

The AN/APG-76 radar the Kurnass 2000 uses the AN/APQ-173 antenna, which was originally intended for the (now canceled) A-6F/G. The AN/APQ-173 indeed has the capability to guide AGM-88s and AIM-120s, but the Kurnass 2000 was never wired to carry them.

With that said, the Kurnass 2000 is missing a whole bunch of Iaraeli PGMs like the Tadmit guided bomb and the Popeye AGM and many others. I would much rather see the Kurnass 2000 (and other Israeli aircraft) get their domestic PGMs rather than give the Kurnass 2000 AMRAAMs it never carried.

Please show me a Greek Phantom equipped with AMRAAMs or even the pylons capable of firing them?

Man that is such a cursed loadout.

Aim-120+Aim-9P’s looks really weird.

Pretty much identical to the F-4F ICE in terms of upgrades

I looked closer at the missiles, and they seem to look more like AIM-9 Julis than AIM-9Ps (if I remember right, the iodized heads on the all-aspect AIM-9P-4/5 continues past the canards, whereas the AIM-9 Juli’s stops about halfway down the span of the Canards). It would also kinda make sense, seeing as the Juli was German-modified (the F-4E AUPs were modified by Germany as well)

(First image is AIM-9 Juli)

(Second image is AIM-9P-4/5)

Just the German F-4E ICE and and Greek F-4PI-2000

Regular Aim-9P’s are just Export version of Aim9J’s, P4/5 models are Aim-9J’s with Aim-9L’s seekers plus some minor differences.

İt make senses that they are using more enhanced versions.

No it wasn’t

It wasn’t; EJ Kai carried AIM-7F/M and AAM-3 until retirement.

so the source i had was wrong as the original has been changed so i retract my original statment
