France would need it slightly more after leclerc’s are all added. Including the EMBT with the French made 140mm

Im simply stating that Germany won’t “need” it quite as badly as France will. when the game gets closer to next gen main battle tanks “Performance wise”
With the KF series likely being a mainstay at that point for germany. “specifically the Kf51 Panther”
of which the Kf51 will be able to do what the EMBT series will be able to do for France and then some going forward.
I’m not negating the fact that KNDS-GR made the hull or overexemplifying that KNDS-FR “Nexter” made the turret and its components" there is equal input. The devs will have the final say.

Questionable, here i refer to the KF41 and gsjins statement it wont be priotised because its non an in service vehicle in germany.
It might end up with only hungary and possibly italy receiving their 120mm versions and germany not getting them.
In the mean time the nature of the embt project makes it a pure prototype for both france and germany and an inservice preference csnt be done

Is the 1st picture from today? Since the text on cannon is not in the 2nd picture.
I mean, the 120mm gun with SHARD would penetrate more than DM53.
I am not sure about that, since the ascalon has a lot less energy.
The 140mm ascalon has as much penetration as german 120mm dm83

DM53 is a fairly old round by this point.

Got a source for the “lack of energy”? Last time I checked a 120mm cannon has a pretty significantly smaller chamber volume than a 140mm so how could the cannons even have the same amount of pressure?

i stated the one for the 140mm ascalon they work on the same principal, either way the cannon is in its infancy state and not good enough for actual implementation yet.
Important part is the yet.
If the 120mm has already the same or better performance then the 140mm it would make no sense and you wouldnt need to upgrade
Before you continue waffling, could you just provide a source that states the 120mm ASCALON has the same low pressure as the 140mm ASCALON? Considering the latter has 2.5x the chamber volume of the L/52, I would be very excited to know how a 120mm could defy physics and achieve a similar chamber volume that would result in such a “lack of energy”.
