Kfir C.10 - General Discussion

If I recall correctly, Python 4s got leaked some time ago. If I had to guess, they will show up on this aircraft.

They are in the game files, you can test them out if you make a custom aircraft

I’m top of what was said above this message, gaijin was contemplating adding the Python 4 back when the Barack II was introduced, however held off on it and instead introduced Aim-7Ms to the plane.

I have one user mission with it, on the su57 maybe you know what im talking about. Anyway it looks like the python 4 looses energy way to quickly so im wondering wether its accurate or not.

It is very limited by the current implementation of missiles. They are not designed to have fins at the rear of the missile maneuver so it is only operating at half of its capacity which means that it will lose more speed because of longer lasting turns

The Python 4 should historically have self limiting thrust to allow for the tightest turning circles possible in scenarios such as dogfights. I have a feeling that’s not implemented yet…

Not to mention the Python 4 achieves its large amount of AOA and lift from its absurd amount of control surfaces designed to give it high amounts of lift comparable to thrust vectoring missiles. Having all those may = lots of AOA and Lift, but it also means the missile will have a lot of drag.

If modeled correctly (but this is gaijin remember…), the Python 4 should have “much better range performance than the Aim-9M” with the only missiles ingame really beating it being the R-27ET and possibly the normal R-27T.

Not to mention the big upside, the Python 4 will be the first missile ingame to employ the ability to re-engage targets it cinematically misses, and will have the highest off bore sight capability of any air to air missile in the game, 90 fricken degree view on a missile seeker is insane man haha.

Regardless of what the missile currently is in the files (especially on the Su-57 user mission), The Python 4 is very much in a unfinished placeholder state…

Some reports talking about them having I-Derby ER

Yes I’m aware it has them, but that’s Aim-120D levels of range man. Game ain’t ready for it just yet haha. It be same thing as giving it Python 5 lmao

yes it uses the I derby ER.
the I derby ER has a 100 km range and thrust vectoring

I think you are confusing it with its dual pulse motor. No Python ever had thrust vectoring

yaa cuz its nit a python, i talked about tge I derby ER its a fox 3 missile and it does have thrust vectoring

Where is it mentioned that it has thrust vectoring? It does have some thrust management, but thats just so it can have longer range.

yes u r right i missunderstood what was written

There’s isn’t a single source in the world that states the Debry has thrust vectoring. No Python based weapon ever received thrust vectoring.
(Maybe Python 6 could get it lmao :P)

Nah the whole point of the python is to achieve the maneuverability of a TVC missile without the issues related with TVC (stalls and flatspins)
