This tank would certainly be formidable on the battlefield, it would fit very well at the end of the Leopard 2K line, I would like to see it in the future.
Well “120mm L55A1” is most certainly referring to the main gun, but I think it might be an accident, because this is the gun for the Leopard 2A7, while the KF51 uses the 130mm L/52.
The L55A1 is not restricted to the Leopard 2A7, even the Challenger 3 literally uses the same gun. Same as the KF51 is not restricted to a 130mm gun, it can have a 120mm if the customer wants.

Hungary and italy did order the 120mm versions.
Fact is nato logistixs for ammunition is build around 120mm currently.
Someone would need to start the switch and bring the Munitions which atvthe begin would be few and more expensive to a start.
And that wouldnt be italy or hungary.
Geemany did recently announce the switch to 130mm in the planned leopard 2AX

I think that this version of the KF 51 should get a 120mm instead of a 130mm cannon for ammo capacity so you don’t have to constantly worry about ammo
doesnt exist, there is no 120mm variant currently
Hungary and italy does develop them, but that has nothing to do with this version for germany

That’s sad to hear. Only 10 130mm rounds will be a bit hard to use carefully
I would argue in those cases they csn add the ammo restock boxes
