KETF for CV9035DK

I think you might like this

the last page of this ABM brochure includes the CV-9035 which is pretty much a statement from Oerlikon Contraves that it can fire smart AHEAD ammo.

yeah but by far not prove enough

There are enough proof beyond any doubt, we can only hope that Gaijin sees that aswell. There wont be any other detailed official vehicle manuals out there because of the war in Ukraine which i found abit sad because i do support having a strong foundation of proof in general.

We can only cross our fingers or hope that someone else find more evidence or that all thats been presented is enough.

nup there isnt, even if you find it for cvs, you need it specialy for the cv9035dk. that reduces nearly all sources either way

Funny thing is that they could add ahead to the CV9035, but it wouldn’t work.

In game ahead needs an irst lock for them to work iirc. Now guess what the cv9035 lacks (in game).

Yea, I’ve found evidence that Denmark did make a purchase and modified their 35s for AHEAD, but, only for use against soft ground targets (which is one of its uses irl). Obviously, we haven’t got infantry in War Thunder, and without IRST you cannot program AHEAD to work properly against air targets, so it would be a senseless addition.

Here is a video with a quote: 0:35 “The ability to effectively engage air targets is a proven and prominent feature of ALL CV90’s”
CV90, Counter-UAS - YouTube.

One of the major problems is that people still dont understand the UTAAS system and the incorporated digital ability of the CV90 including the older versions. Just looking at the barrel tip shows that is has all the abilitites to effectively set different fuzes for ABM, eg. above ground, direct hit, dispersed hit after pen, airborne targets with sensor fuzion…etc.

Its the same muzzle as being used on all 35 mm CV90’s

The 30mm AirBurst Munition (ABM) is currently being qualified for the German Army for deployment with the Mk30-2 ABM cannon mounted on the Puma AIFV. A 35mm version optimized for ground-to-ground effect is being qualified for the Bushmaster III chain gun mounted on the new CV9035 IFV of the Royal Dutch Army. Denmark has also selected the ABM capability for its CV9035.

That video isn’t applicable anyways.

In the future please provide the URL or a reference for your information/quotas so that we can look it up. I dont know where this information comes from.

The video is an officially release from the company itself so it is most definitely a valid source.

Your video doesnt prove anything, its not enough.
It csn be a feauture doesnt mean all have them

Did you watch it? Please elaborate when you say it does not prove anything, it shows off key features for the vehicle from the company itself and they explicitly state “all CV90’s”. The information available for this vehicle in different modifications and variants are still more than alot of the other vehicles in the game. Finding a hands-on hard data manual when there is a war going on is close to zero, as it should be. All considered its more than enough. A video like this is sufficient as a valid source of information (even by academic standards) that being said i agree that there must be more sources that states its capabilities (for which has been shown previously both here and on other posts).

I will only tell u how gajin handles it, its not accepted.
Its the same as the standard sentence uses all nato ammunition france doesnt use dm73 even if they could.
There is always customers that might request to not add specific features. This is one of them

And i am happy that you explain to me how gaijin works.

In regard to the specific feature requests, the vehicle, despite model, comes with the ability to fire ABM such as the KETF/AHEAD from scratch using the 35 mm canon. This is not something you have to specify when ordering it. It would be one thing if the state choose not to buy the ammunition type but this is not the case for either Denmark or the Netherlands utilizing this specific vehicle. Meaning they can both fire ABM against air and ground targets, proven by both the company and other sources of interest.

Either way i can only hope they implement it in the near future. From what i heard it is still new to the game so it would make sense if not every vehicle received it immediately.

you have to, the bushmaster exists in versions that are able to programm and in versions that cant programm them. Its like L/55 and L/55A1 need to be specified

thats the case and either way still massively underperforming, its mostly usefull against helis in range, but planes is still realy hard

And drones weirdly enough didnt work at all for me at least

I have also seen its poor performance, hope they will address it shortly and start working on a good balance fix.

@LeeyLeey
War Thunder is progressing, not dying.
And you haven’t specified the name, the identification, of that device.

Also sad that @Dinfire earlier in the topic said for people to ignore people defending CV90…
Makes their post seem anti-CV90 by doing so.

You don’t need the specific name of a device when you know the purpose of the device.
You can find very similar, if not exactly the same configuration of modification on other vehicles such as the Pumas, and the chineze pgz09.

The skynex system sent to ukraine uses the same muzzle device as can be seen on the bushmaster 3.

And it is known that the skynex system is capable of AHEAD specifically due to that muzzle device.

You do, otherwise it’s conjecture.
The device could very well be for other programmable ammunition, or a general part of the fire control system.

There is only one other arms manufacturer who makes AHEAD like programmable ammunition and its from the united states.

This article details the ability for dutch cv9035’s to shoot AHEAD rounds, and the only way to do so would be the muzzle device WHICH I ALREADY POINTED OUT EXISTS ON BOTH VARIANTS.
