I’ve been confused about this aspect of the gameplay. Some people say it helps to keep your targets within sight of your TWS while others say no.
As far as I know, SARHs can still track a target even when radar lock is lost, as long radar is locked onto something that is near the general direction of target (e.g a chaff)
Does having targets in your TWS, after you fired an ARH at them, help the radar missiles in their guidance, improving notch resistance?
In addition, is it true that in look-up mode, radar missiles uses non-PD TRK mode, thus can be chaffed easily (couch 530f)?
yes, specifically the improving notch (and chaff) resistance part especially if you have a really good radar like, kfir C10 or rafael
while it may be true that they use non-pd modes, it doesn’t really make the missile weaker to chaff unless it is a missile without angle gating (which I believe almost all ARH misisiles have)
description of angle gating here, its like IRCCM for chaff (Update 2.43.0.24)
