Would be suprising if they gave them EW suits, players would complain about balance and bias.
Would make more sense for low BR strike aircraft to get ECM for testing first.
I’d fear a EW update for top tier without extensive testing first, the fact if the matter is the engine just can’t compute several items that matter for the vehicles we have today.
I would prefer a major update without additional vehicles (even if it means delaying a Gripen NG/E) that focuses solely on bugfixes and accepted reports fixing.
Truly want them to make war thunder two with an engine that can actually handle the more advanced systems we have today that makes more modern vehicles unique.

Yes, not entirely sure if the MAWS is also spherical but RWR is
Edit: Yeah MAWS looks spherical, just saw the rear sensors in a video, had only seen the front ones before

Unfortunately the gripen c had the ability to carry more munitions like the brimstones, spice bombs, and enhanced paveways but gaijin simply didn’t add them.

Today is about last day of dev server I guess then JAS 39E model not available yet even payload also. Kinda just a bad joke disappointed

High chance the dev gets extended as there is a couple unfinished things and camos for the vehicles haven’t been made yet which is generally a sign once there added that the update is about ready to go to live.
if they will, they should add JAS 39E today cause no payload no hmd only radar and engine is available
yeah the flight model is nerfed, it can irl carry brimstones and centerline paveway 2. It has maws irl, I mean you can see the sensors on the wingtips. Also as you said its radar is underperforming and ir it has more advanced amraams as many thai gripens have been seen carrying the c5. The truth is that gripen a was added with nothing being even comparable to its maneuvarability so it got nerfed, then gripen c was added with the toptier weapons at the time and then it was forgotten. I’ve reported the gripen’s issues multiple times but the devs just don’t care. I think the gripen e will have some of the ew systems because why would they take so long time adding a basically copy paste plane with some new sensors and basically renamed hornet engine. the super hornet for example ir the hornet e is basically a new airframe design and those are already in the dev. I think that the only reason it has taken so long is that it takes so long designing those ew systems, also some ew systems can be added to most of the other toptier planes.

where do you get info for brimstones? None of the users use it
they updated the dev and still no Gripen E 💀
I myself have seen gripen c with brimstones mounted, i’ve been in a swedish airforce event where they listed brimstone as one of the gripens weapons and had a brimstone on stand so you could see it (this was before the gripen e) and saab shows brimstone missile in the packing iron pdf of the gripen c armament. Also there is multiple pictures of gripens mounted with brimstones.
there are few renders of gripens with brimstones no pictures, gripen C PDF is as was already said in this thread “artists imagination” and is “if you pay us we can do it”
