“Developers don’t plan on adding this particular unit” honestly pretty sad. We could have had RB99 for the D Viggen and call it Late and then the premium could have been Early
I’m going to disagree but I won’t say you’re wrong to be upset(?). A Rank 8 Fox-3 capable premium was going to happen eventually. But despite the US, Russia, and like France being my mains; I’m actually glad it came to a minor/smaller nation first. And by the looks of it, its enticing enough variant (again, let alone a premium) that will get people to get it.
Personally, I’ve been hoping for a premium Viggen for a while now and am finally glad to see one come. Are there better options? Probably. Is this greedy? Absolutely. But I don’t think we can deny it’s a win for the minor/smaller nations.
I’m 90% sure the only Viggen to carry RB-99’s was the Viggen Di, as that was the whole point of a modern integration of the standard D (current D model in game has multiple things wrong with it, as if it were a Di, notably the color map)
Also the DI’s map should be a MFD directly from a Gripen A IIRC, which would lead to a slight re-arrangement of the instrument panel.
Very sad yet unsurprising that they would make this thing a premium
You can check my report about RB 99 Community Bug Reporting System and SFI FPL JA37D, Del 1 as well.
“i” stands for international, there are no updates for the amraams or anything else in particular

Yes, as I said, the same plane.
Not sure why you’re claiming it’s stupid to say that the JA-37Di is the same airframe as the JA-37D…
And what is this able to carry 4 of them same BR as new F-4F ICE as a premium!!
And while German
Here SU-22
Here was the cockpit difference I was talking about. Yes, I understand the standard D used the AIM-120A/RB-99 (I meant to say D/Di but was in a hurry to format, as I’ve already made a post over the fact the D that was in game already should receive its RB-99’s, as it was the entire point of the modernization of the C model)
(Shown above is the Di cockpit, the D (standard) is below)
Another thing to note is the Viggen C and D used the same MFD, which could display radar or maps, and I believe a few other things, like RWR, but I’d have to check.
IRL they are indeed a little different(in terms of cockpit), but in the game they will be the same(except loadout).
Sadly, I hope they add the proper MFD however, as it would be useful in sim to have a larger display. Currently as there are many issues with the Viggen cockpit, notably not having the proper radar display systems, and others.
It already has the proper MFD.
The Di?
Whoops, forgot to replace “it” with “Di”.
Yes, Di.
Ahh, I’d still like to see the center display on the C/D to show radar properly and the right display be a proper MFD with the map and RWR indicator selectable.
Oh hey. I have actually opened a new bug report concerning the Issue hoping to get Gaijins attention once again as I see this to be a historical Issue that cannot simply be put to the side like this.

Sweden will eventually get Gripen-E, better engine, more missiles, significantly better radar than what eurofigter has (even aesa) and hopefully, we will have EWAR by then and thats where it will shine.
Yeah, the ES-05 right?
no, the DI being premium is alright. The D not receiving RB99s is what is a slap to the face.
Correct, the JA37DI is a decent option for a premium jet for sweden. A premium with fox 3s is a problem in of itself but it would’ve happened at some point either way. I just really hope Gaijin either also places a 2nd JA37DI in the tech tree or even batter, simply adds the RB99s to the already existing JA37D
