Yeah. That’s what I said I think lol
Old post from before we were aware it was fake. Ignore it.
The ROBUST is completely unmanned so IDK if it can be implemented. IDR if it has an optional manned operation mode.
I did actually have a few ideas for how it could work in-game.
-
It could be unable to repair itself, instead relying on teammates and capture points
-
Thanks to increased modules within vehicles, it would be possible to replace the “crew” with something like a battery system.
-
Thanks to its vulnerability and inability to repair on its own, it would be a cheap spawn.
Can you give me some more information on this vehicle? I’ve had this image for a while, but I was unaware it was made by Israel (though it doesn’t surprise me).
Not a BMP-1 chassis, appears to be a modified 2S1 chassis. 2S1s have an extra roadwheel over the BMP-1
dunno if this is the right place for this, but while doing research for the Indonesian PT-76M I stumbled upon this image of an Israeli PT-76 with the cockerill 90mm (PT-76-2000) but instead of the single-brake, it has the triple-brake similar to the Indonesian variant

pictured above: Indonesian officers in the Negev desert observing what looks like a heavily modified PT-76
Translated facebook post & comment
basically the original post mentions of the secretive project beta, basically how Indonesia retrofitted the PT-76 with Israeli help, then a commenter mentions that he knows a guy who went & presumably took the picture, so he posted the image
i cant verify the accuracy of the comment since the Indonesian “beta project” is still very secretive even to this day. But I think its real. I dont think the vehicle above is Indonesian primarily due to 3 things
- the headlights doesnt match the ones used in Indonesia
- it has a smoke launchers on the side of the turret, Indonesian variant doesnt have any smoke whatsoever
- it has a very similar roof MG mount to other israeli-modified PT-76, with it mounted on the right hand side of the vehicle, again lacking on the indonesian variant
unfortunately i cant add any more info about it
You may have missed the second tank in my list, I think. Unless this is a separate one?
a different variant i think, the one in Nimda’s brochure uses the single brake
meanwhile the one in the image looks like the Indonesian one below

the single brake variant is capable of using APFSDS, but the triple brake variant (just like the one indonesia uses) cant fire the round
This is a PT-76-2000, and it has a longer muzzlebrake under the tarp. I’m pretty certain of that anyway.
Worth looking into, though.
actually yeah i think its the same, so the Nimda package has two different version?
also was there any mention of them being modified with smoke grenades? I must admit I’ve never seen that on an Israeli PT-76 before
I don’t have documentation on the vehicle, unfortunately. Most of my information here is coming from the Shiryon Archive.
a shame really. but it is what it is
Spyder doesn’t have aesa radar it has a 4 panel non rotating mechanical searching radar that covers 65° vertically and 360 horizontally
Congrats, you answered to a 2 yesr old comment about tanks, Not SAMs
So, topic of the comment completly missed school note: F

Lol just realized Spyder didn’t even exist at that time
Exactly, + Spyder should be AESA (just like all other non russian Multi SAMs)
