All the Patrol Boats and Missile Armed vessels that I previously had in the “Unused Vessels” Spoiler have now been added to the techtree. The modern Patrol Boats have their own new dedicated Line, and the Missile Ships fill the new higher Ranks.
I figured we’re going to see more missile ships in War Thunder in due time, so I decided to expand this techtree to include them.
I also don’t understand why you added the missiles to the missile boats and gave them such a high BR, in the game there is nothing similar, the missile boats in the game do not have the missiles to be fired and that is why they keep a lower BR where they can compete with other boats, it is a bit illogical to me that the Sa’ar 4.5 Hetz-class Missile Boat, INS Sufa has a BR of 6.0 of cruisers or almost battleships, I think you were a lot ahead of yourself on that
There would have been very odd jumps from 1950’s ships to modern patrol boats, back to 1950’s, back to modern. By adding a fourth line the modern patrol boats have their own spot without interfering with the other 1950’s ships.
BR’s are not as important to me for techtree suggestions so I think it’s really not such a big deal. I’m just showing of the ships with the armaments they were given. What I propose here is just showing of the vessels Israel has, not the techtree I demand Gaijin to make.
Also coastal and bluewater techtrees are really compressed so realistically speaking ingame the BR’s of these missile ships here would all be 4.7-5.0. Dispite each ship having different weaponry then the one that came before. The BR’s I’ve given are just ingoring any bluewater thing. I just looked at the weapons the ship had and compared it to other ships in the tree and very roughly gave it a BR.
I was thinking, Greece would be a nice subtree for Isreal, would help in the Costal and bluewater trees as well, and politcaly they do have some alliances as well.
I don’t know how the relations between Israel and Greece are, and if there are any political issues regarding combining them. But the Greece navy would be a really nice addition!
That is actually a very interesting concept since the Greek Navy has French, German, Dutch, Portugese, American, Norwegian, Russian, British but also domestically designed ships however I feel like it could be an entire tech tree of its own with how vast it is (Both coastal and bluewater tree)
I mean (if you know World of Warships) we can have battleships and destroyers at the same BR (like the way there are bomber lines and fighter lines in air)so that there is more variety to choose from, and the best way to keep things balanced is to have better torpedo damage to make destroyers also powerful (we can also add AP shells to DDs). Acoustic torpedoes can be used for submarines (if the Israelites had any)
To treaten battleships and make them not as OP. Israel is not the top priority tho, as a lot of player like me want a major overhaul on naval.
Chile would actually add a whole lot of nice older vessels. With Chille there might be just enough to make a Bluewater Fleet.
Singapore is just more modern vessels like what Israel already has themselves.
With Chile, you get a pair of super-dreadnought battleships, a pair of pre-dreadnought battleships, battlecruisers, armored cruisers, etc. The Chilean Navy has always been powerful. You can see these ships in my Chilean naval sub-tree on the forum.
To me, Singapore's navy might be too modern but there are some ships that is worth mentioning:
RSS Singapura
Spoiler
→ The Republic of Singapore’s first naval vessel following its independence from Malaysia, she is ex-IJN Wakataka, an improved version of the Shiratake class minelayers. She is equipped with 2x 80mm AA guns, 4x 13.2mm MGs, and 100x Type 93 naval mines.
→ She was the first of the three ships handed to Singapore from Malaysia after its independence. She previously served as a gunboat under Malaysian service seeing skirmishes when the Malayan Confrontation broke out against Indonesia. Under Singaporean service she was the first boat to enter Saigon when it fell in 1975 and helped in its evacuation. She is armed with 1x 40mm Bofors, and depth charges.
Swift-class patrol craft
Spoiler
→ She was designed after the Republic of Singapore Navy found out it needed a dedicated patrol craft platform after its Sea Wolf-class missile gun boats were forced into an ad hoc role to rescue fleeing Vietnamese in Operation Thunderstorm. She is armed with 1x 20mm canon, and 2x 12.7mm MGs.
→ Built by with help from Vosper Thornycroft, they are one of first boats ordered by Singapore after its independence in 1965. They served us gunboats under the Republic of Singapore Navy. Her class is armed with an A-class and B-class - A-class was armed with 1x 40mm Bofors forward, and 1x 20mm Oerlikon aft; B-class was armed with 1x 76.2mm Bofors forward, and 1x 20mm Oerlikon aft.
→ The Sea Wolf class was the first Missile Gun Boat in RSN history. She was built with help from Lurssen Werft of Germany, her introduction in 1968 was a first in the Southeast Asia region to feature anti-ship missiles. She was initially armed with 2-5x IAI Gabriel SSM, 1x 57mm Bofors forward, and 1x 40mm Bofors aft.
Sentinel-class Maritime Security and Response Vessel
→ A replacement of the older Swift Class Patrol Vessels, her class was originally known as the Fearless class Patrol Vessels. In 2021, as a response to increasing piracy in the region, 4 former Fearless class were inducted as the Sentinel class after they were refurbished and capabilities calibrated to respond to maritime incidents. She is equipped with 1x Oto Melara 76mm Super Rapid forward, and 1x Rafael Typhoon 25mm RCWS aft.
→ The original Fearless class in its configuration featured 1x Oto Melara 76mm Super Rapid forward, and 1x Rafael Typhoon 25mm RCWS aft, 1x Simbad twin launcher for Mistral SAMs, 4x 12.7mm MGs, and 2x triple torpedo tubes. What I suggest is that the Mistrals could just not be added and it will still be a pretty good patrol boat similar in vein to the HMS Peacock (or just stick with the Sentinel class if its too much).
Afaik these are the ships that might be good enough for the current meta to work. If I missed anything please do let me know! I dont want to hijack this Israeli TT suggestion so I spoilered everything lol.
