Im 99% sure thats not how it works, theyre dazzlers not hard kill lasers. We dont have such compact lasers able of actual damage yet
Properly modelled for everyone which means actually lethal, no hits on engine decks or front armor. Especially if we get cm502 or lmur which have he warheads capable of oneshotting everywhere.
It doesnt really day anything about it being hardkill but it does say it can reach a max of 250watts of power which is quite a bit, i doubt its enough to melt through heat resisistant material wuick enough to defeat a missile though, laser also arent as powerfull the further your project them that. Are you sure its meant to destroy seekers, even it says it confuses them, forgot to mention styropyro made a 250 watt laser like 10 days ago lol and it can melt a penny very quickly but thats point blank against pretty weak metal.
Even then disrupting the missile while using flares along side the ALQ144 the target both disrupts and masks its self making it impossible to kill with a heat seeking missile.
Mind you gaijin did not implement imagining seekers into game yet. So that argument in and of itself doesnt work. They work just like R73s and AIM9Ms so far.

Even then the source you posted shows that depending on the watts and size of the target it can defeat ir imaging systems. Together with flares and the ALQ 144 it defeats the missile.
I know, but it doesnt really say anything about actually defeating a missile. It says how much is required to damage it which is half the nominal strenght of the circm from northrop grumman, which makes me skeptical about the 100watts at 1000 meters.
I can agree with range at 1000m but as the missile gets closer the stronger the signal of the laser is. So 1000km it may be 100W but at 500m it may jump up to what Northrop is saying 800W - 1200W which would be more than enough to damage the seeker head.
My skepticism comes from the nomeclature if these were hardkill systems they would be names as such, it would make them actual DEWs, the would use the “confuse” wording.
the same source is confusing bc here they mention more than just the CIRCM so its hard to understand which system they are talking abt, but the do mention the “Laser Jamming” from the CRICM
