Is there any way to limit the framerate in the game?

Hi guys,

I’ve tried to test the new Ray Tracing in my old laptop with a 3060 and it literraly blown up. The GPU had a critical failure and ended up flames (literally) (Not pointing fingers to anybody…). Laptop completly melt down.

Now, before trying the Ray Tracing in my daily use laptop, I have to ask: Is there any way that you can limit the FPS in the game?

Tried to use the Nvidia frame limiter in the old laptop, but apperently it ended up in flames, so I dont believe its ht best alternative.

I know people change some configs in the .config files of the game, any option for FPS?

Try Vsync.

If you’re on Linux, can use the package lib-strangle or mangohud to limit the FPS.
If you’re on Windows, maybe these things exist for windows, who knows.

A good software to use is “Rivatuner Statistics Server”.
This allows you to easily limit the frame rate of games on Windows to a specified value.

+1 for RivaTuner, I use it to limit fps as well.
